I eat one of my toddlers gummy vitamins every day :joy: it’s the only sweet thing I eat and man are they sweet!!

I haven’t been on here much, and won’t bore you all with my ongoing challenges, but I do want to try to pull things together and succeed. I’m not going to make my target (again) and my grandson broke my scale, so I had to find my old scale and will be using that. I don’t know if they weigh differently, but I wouldn’t make my mark either way as I am too far from it. I hope my weigh in will be acceptable so I can move on from here. Sorry to be a bummer, but I am trying to turn things around. Best of luck to all for this weigh in. #takemymoney

I’m in the same basket as you are. Lots of unexpected challenges this past month… no need to make excuses for ourselves or for anyone else. What’s important is that we handle life’s challenges as gracefully as possible and then make sure that we don’t fail to prioritize our own health & happiness.

It’s ok to take a couple of steps backwards to brace for a strong headwind. Now, we get low, bend our knees and make a strong push forward. It might be slow progress, but we CAN, still get where we need to go. It’s not too late to win this 6-month diet bet.

Shall we plan to meet-up again at the end of the race?? What can we do today to take one step in that right direction?? See you at the finish line!


Weight-loss isn't linear. Ups and downs are part of it. So you're very normal. Just take the next small step forward. I'm rooting for you!

  • Haven’t been as active on here in awhile… weight has plateaued and I’m nervous about my goal this period again… ugh!

    Been landscaping my butt-off the past week and today I skipped Taekwondo because I’m just exhausted.

    However… I’ve kicked-off the week very well with my diet… and tonight’s dinner is something I whipped-together from scraps of this and that around the kitchen… soba, stir-fry noodles, green beans, carrots and onion greens from the garden. After dutifully tracking the ingredients, the whole plate is less than 600 calories

    Also, it’s actually not very good because I had to throw-together a stir fry sauce that’s just not really doing it for me… but I AM proud of myself for saving money and eating healthfully!

    Look out scale! Here I come!! Ha ha

I just looked it up. “Eager 2 Motivate” (or Engine-2 Meals, I guess). Based off a book written by a firefighter. Sounds like a good plan. Plant-based foods and exercise. Similar to what a lot of us are doing already.

Laura Dixon‘s Naturally Thin for Life podcast was the first thing that ever helped me with binge eating.

I realized that my binge eating was ALL emotional…could be as simple as “I’m tired/overwhelmed/stressed.” And once I realized that, it was easier to tell myself, “you are feeling X. Food doesn’t solve this. How will you feel tomorrow morning if you try to solve this emotion with food?” I highly highly recommend her podcast

So, I know this will probably change with weight fluctuations and the like, but I'm happy and want to share:

I am currently beating my final Round 6 goal as of this morning.

I don't want to count my chickens before they've hatched and I still have a long way to go before I'm content with my weight, but I'm happy with my progress so far.

It's been 3 weeks of being sick now. I've had two different types of infections treated by very different types of medications. I haven't seen my gym since mid-August... I tried walking yesterday but my lungs still want to fight me every time I do. I haven't lost much (but that means I haven't gained) but I am hoping, hoping this week will be a much better week. Cheers!

Are u taking vitamins and herbs at all?
Not medical advice :joy:heres my list of go to. U can look up the research on nih. gov studies and everyone of them amazing. I use olive leaf extract for blood sugar regulation, healthy blood pressure, and anti viral . Oregano oil for anti viral anti bacteria, grapefruit seed extract for anti viral and anti bacteria, cats claw for anti viral and anti bacteria immune booster, Host Defense brand for immune system and Tcell booster by tons- mushroom mycelium turkey tail, reshi, lions mane, and cordycepts, breath easy, and then zinc, msm and glucosamine combo by NOW for anti inflammatory and lungs, quercetin, elderberry,hawthorn berry, coq10,Ester c (one of the best forms and most absorbed of vitamin c) many vit c pills are junk .
I only buy Nature's Way. And NOW brand (they willingly are pharmaceutical tested for quality and purity no other supplementcompaniesdo that!) And Host Defense for the mushrooms. Host Degfence dude speaks many times on TED talks about mushrooms and anti cancer, it's amazing, and nih studies back it all up, . These brands have proven there effectiveness to me for 20 yrs. Anyway do ur research and get on iherb for best prices if u decide to buy anything. Solar Ray is a good brand too. Gaia too. Those are my secondary brands if my mains ones are outta stock.
