I’ve been in many DietBet’s and Transformers, and have had much success in the past. I haven’t done so well the past 2 years, but that stops now, it’s time to get back on track and take my health serious again!!

Before the 4th, I had lost 2lbs more than my 2nd round goal! I've never achieved a goal that far ahead of time. I also completed 30 days of no sweets!!! I have NEVER been able to do that, so I am really proud of myself 😜
I indulged a lot on the 4th and haven't been eating great since then, but today I am back to working hard and meeting my goals!!
I want to continue not eating sweets except for special occasions. I still crave them, but I noticed how much better I feel without them.

Also, other Beachbody people....what programs are you currently doing?! I'm thinking about starting either Liift4, Insanity Max 30, or Barre Blend. I can't decide which one to do!!

I just started 80 Day obsession and just finished MM100, BUT that new program MBF looks amazing! Have you seen the before and afters of that program? It’s crazy.

It had been a while since I had worked out without a gym, so I started Tony Horton's P90 (bought the kit on eBay)
The nutrition guide alone is worth the program, I can do it even without buying the expensive Shakeology (during the 6 day shred I replaced any full shakes with an Atkins shake)

P90 is good for anyone trying to workout who is just beginning, hadn't worked out in a while, or for anyone who is older or otherwise have any joint issues

Combination of intermittent fasting, mild keto (not strictly following a diet plan but being mindful and eating lots of fats - mostly avocado 😋), 5-6 days a week of 30ish mins of exercise, and almost daily 1h morning walks with my kids before I eat breakfast... Sounds like a lot but it doesn't actually feel like it! I'm enjoying this new lifestyle AND I'm enjoying the compliments about my changing body from my husband! 😀

What are you guys doing to shed the weight and make yourselves PROUD? How do you feel about your first month's progress?? 🎉👍

I also do intermittent fasting and 5 workouts a week together with my boyfriend :sweat_smile:
And I am really proud that I follow the workout schedule for 12 weeks now! I can’t remember a time, where I exercised so much :joy:

I’m a calorie counter and love walking my dogs in the evenings. I also like pretending to be a weekend warrior by hiking trails. Makes me feel good that I am able to walk up and down the mountain trails:blush:

TIP OF THE DAY: What's my target weight? - I get asked this all the time. The usual go-to for this is the BMI index for your gender and if you're of average build. But for some like me who carry more muscle, the BMI wouldn't work (it states I'm obese). So if people want to be much more specific and be closer in accuracy, here's the method I use on my clients.
Now first you have to know your lean body mass. With clients, I can figure that out cause I have the tools at work, but at home, the easiest way is to figure out your body fat percentage and then subtract that from your overall weight to find out what your lean body mass is. Here's a site to find out your body fat percentage although it could be 1%-2% off inaccuracy.

Once you know your body fat percentage, multiply it with your total body weight to get how many pounds of body fat you carry.

IE: 200lbs total weight x 30% body fat (.30)= 60lbs fat weight

Now subtract your body fat pounds to get your lean body mass.

IE: 200lbs total weight - 60lbs fat weight = 140lbs lean mass

So now that you have all that, you just have to decide what body fat percentage you'd like to be at. Here's another link to help you decide.

Once you decide on body fat percentage, you now use this formula to find the target weight: Lean mass weight divided by 1 minus body fat percentage desired.

IE: Lean mass-140lbs. Desired body fat %- 20% or .20
1 minus body fat desired (1 minus .20 = .80)

140lbs divided by .80= 175lbs target weight.

So your target 175lbs to be at a body fat percentage of 20%

This works for ANY BODY TYPE and isn't dependent on height, musculature, etc.

Some people get stuck on the math, but take your time an follow it step by step and you'll get the target weight you want.

It seemed super high, like 58%. I was wondering if the calculator on the website could be off because I hold most of my weight in my stomach and hips thereby throwing off the calculator.

@ Nichole Yeah, that high would put you in the morbidly obese category. There are a couple of other sites to determine body fat percentage where they measure more sites for accuracy.

I was doing so well and was even below my needed weight for the month. I went away for the weekend and “gained” 5 lbs. I know it’s probably bloat and water weight but does any one have any tips to get rid of it in enough time for weigh in? 😱
