The scale was up 4 pounds this morning and I’m trying not to freak out! I know I’m eating the right foods, but I did eat a little more than usual on Sunday and ate kind of late yesterday. Plus I have an awful cold so I’m sure that’s part of it! But I’m going to keep on with my nutrition and work outs and cross my fingers I see a big drop this week!

When I eat later than usual, I typically see a gain. Stay focused, drink your water, and the weight will come off!

  • I am up 1 pound. I lost 1 pound and then gained two pounds. Might of had to many carbs or to much salt.

  • It’s coffee first, veggies most, right?! LOL! But seriously. Please give me you best tips on how to drink water before coffee. All I can ever manage is a sip or two of water.

Here is just a little something to get you over the week and to start you off right. In my book "You Can Drop It!" I talk about setting up your Environment for success. The goal is to get your space set up so it's extremely inconvenient to gain weight, and extremely convenient to lose weight. For example, ask your spouse or housemates to keep their junk foods and tempting snacks in an opaque container on a very high shelf, and cut up some fresh fruits and veggies so they are the first thing you see in the refrigerator. Use the rest of the week and weekend to set yourself up for success, go and buy what you need- Veggies, lean proteins, waters, etc and comment in this post and let me know what you did and how you did it. No bread or sweets in the house!! Only meats, cheese, eggs, nuts, whole milk, and vegetables. And my soda-stream for low calorie drinks. ("Don't drink your calories.")


Grocery shopped at the beginning of the week to set myself up for success! Lots of fruits and veggies and my “go to” healthy lunches to keep me out of the cafeteria at work.

Trying to not get discouraged with only a few days left. I checked my weight two days ago and got my goal, but am back up 3 pounds since I started my period yesterday. Is this normal?? Trying to keep my mindset positive and be proud of how far I come regardless of I hit my goal weigh in day

Drink water... Lots of water! And less sodium and more potassium!


I made my goal but gained 5 lbs this week. I feel pudgier and realized I have to really track. That is key for me.

  • I literally have one day and .6 lbs to go and was sad until I went to a project to weed clothes out of my closet. There is a reason I do these diet bets and follow Brittany and this picture says it all. So no matter what if I make that .6 tomorrow or not I know that I am winning and so are you! Definitely drink more water! I find I do better when I get 80oz of water each day, it’s a lot, but you get use to it! Good luck.

A killer workout this morning that made me proud! I’ve avoided Dunkin donuts for 2 weeks and I’ve eaten clean for 2 weeks! I’ve also added weights to my workouts along with running 2 miles!
