Yes...don’t worry about this one! I skipped too because I had surgery and retained too much fluid! Next one is mandatory though! You got this!!

I won by the skin of my teeth last time LOL, but it was very motivational and gave me something to work towards! I feel bad for whatever my initial weigh in is about to be...it’s that “time of the month” and I’ve been eating like a monster since the last one ended *facepalm*

I made my goal by .4 pounds! I learned from a referee to weigh, then quickly grab the phone and snap the photo! This could make the difference as it did for me today!!! The phone has at least half a pound- this tip might help someone this round so I thought I’d post it! Good luck everyone 👍🌺

Yep! I set mine on the shower ledge and grab it to get a pic of the read out. I have also been known to remove my earrings to weigh in, lol.

  • Trust the process, don’t rush the process!

    This is my two month progress. I eat a mostly unprocessed diet filled with lots of protein, fat, and fiber. I run/walk a few miles a week (that will increase once it gets cooler) and do strength training (Core de Force). I try to fill at least half of my plate with veggies.

    I am far from perfect though! I don't let one (or many!) poor food choice keep me down and ruin all of my progress. Sometimes at the end of the day, after keeping a 4 year old and 4 month old alive, I treat myself to an entire sleeve of cookies or some Krispy Kreme donuts that my husband surprised me with. Sometimes I get a huge burger, fries, and milkshake when my family orders out. (You see, FAR from perfect!)

    But i just keep my end goal in mind! I want to be a strong, fit, lean mom! I want to wear clothes without being concerned about bulges and rolls. I want to stay healthy and active as I age so i don't have the same health issues my inactive grandparents have.

    So don't give up if you have a bad food day. Don't give up if you don't workout for a day or two. Consistency is what brings results.

Casey, you are legit my hero! Your positive energy gives me motivation. How do you get such good workouts in with two littles? All I can fit in is walking!

  • Hey y’all! Hope you are doing good. I was doing ok and made round 1. I had to take some hormones due to a medical condition and I gained, all the way to the beginning weigh in weight. Trying to have a healthy mind set, but struggling. Please give me a mental push! I am staying on keto and it’s not going back down. I don’t want to give up, but not making round 2 is real.

  • Sliced cucumber, ricotta and cheddar cheeses, pan-cooked pepperoni (to cook off some of the fat). I made 18 of these for 326 calories, 5g carbs, 18g protein. It’s probably fewer calories than that as I cooked off a ton of fat. Tasty and very filling.

In order to stay motivated, I’ve been doing kickstarters along the way. I’ve just won my kickstarter! I’m down 55lbs over all and hopefully by the end of my next kickstarter I will be in the 200s for the first time in a decade. These give me so much motivation to finally put myself first.

Warning this is not an uplifting post

I am just feeling really sad and emotional today. I feel a little sick which scares me. I’m so afraid of covid! I just want o curl up in bed with Charmed streaming and a never ending supply of melted cheese. Instead I’m working and doing all the things a grown woman does. But I’m just wanting to be a teen after on a summer vacation.

I don't think you're whining, I think you're being real - Covid is so terrifying! I agree with Megan C., giving yourself permission to acknowledge that this is hard and not normal is helpful! Do what you can and take care of yourself. Remember that activity is great for long-term mental health - even if you don't want to do it in the moment. Hugs!

Thank you everyone. Today is already ten times better. I’m getting my workouts in, even on my struggle bus days. Which is good, I can’t imagine the magnitude of meltdowns without endorphins!! I really do value each and every comment on my extra emo day (which is valid and I’m not down talking myself)!! Cheers to having more good days than bad!!
