  • Good morning and happy DAY ONE!!! Woop woop!! With the start of each game I like everyone to think about some non-scale goals they’d like to achieve during these 4 weeks! Try to make them SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. I believe it’s always a good idea to focus on MORE than just weight. At the end of the day, learning and maintaining healthy habits is more important than a number on a scale. My goals are:

    -Drink 1 gallon of water a day
    -Close all my AppleWatch rings daily
    -Complete my tasks for the 75 Hard Challenge (Phase 2) every day

Hi everybody! At age 60 and with a sedentary job, it was so easy to gain weight and talk myself out of activity. Everything hurts! Lol. But, in May this year I said to myself, SELF, is this how you want to feel for the next 30 years. Are you too old to care? NO!
Stacy has been so inspiring following her journey. I started StepBet in May and haven’t lost one of those yet. Lost 32 lbs so far. Now I want to really challenge myself to be accountable with the weight. Not just the steps.
I lost my first DietBet, but that’s okay. Not going to quit!

  • Good morning and happy weigh-in day!! We’ve lost almost 2,000lbs (!!) and counting this month!!! That is certainly impressive given the current state of the world and the holiday. I AM SO FREAKING PROUD OF YA’LL!!

    -Weigh in is open now until tomorrow, November 3rd at 11:59PM PST. I suggest weighing in as soon as you can so you have time to resubmit if they ask you to. If you have any weigh in problems, please email support@waybetter… and they can fix it for you! You can also reset your weigh in on a desktop computer.
    -Remember that you are more than a number!! Even if you didn’t make your 4% target, you are still closer to your goals than when you started! The key to consistent and lasting results is to never give up! We are all winners in the end since we are here making an effort to improve our health and habits!
    -Thank you all for being here with me!!! It truly means the world to me to be able to help even just one person in some capacity, let alone 500+ of you. I love our squad and I feel incredibly grateful to be apart of it. Thank you for showing each other and me the support and encouragement we all need. The community is personally my favorite part of the games!

  • Happy Monday and congrats on rocking the first week of our game!! How is everyone feeling? Do you need help with anything?

    For week 2, let’s do a water challenge! Water is super important for weight loss, but also overall health. If you have trouble remembering to drink, consider getting an app on your phone or smart watch to remind you! Just search “water tracker” on the App Store and a bunch of options will come up. Another option for tracking is using your water bottle or cup. Figure out how many refills it would take to meet your goal and put that number of rubber bands on the bottle/cup. Whenever you refill, you get to remove one of the bands!

    Let me know in the comments what your daily goal is going to be. As with all the weekly challenges, update us at the end of each day when you hit your goal OR if you fall short so we can give you support!

1. New habit: Walking 3 to 5 miles every day. I will continue to do this throughout this DietBet. It’s a habit now.
2. Stop bringing non-nutritious cheat foods into the apartment. I don’t eat that many, but each time I do it just feels like I’ve taken a step backwards.

Hi everyone. First timer. I’ve been successful losing on StepBet since May and am now ready to commit to being accountable for actual weight loss. I need to go buy a full length mirror so I can record my weight. Hopefully have a few days to get this done?

I am not sure how much time you have, but I do not have a full length mirror. I prop my phone up on the counter and set the timer for a picture, of that helps!

I just hold my phone high above me to the right or left and angle down and make sure I include the scale and word and it gets approved
