Quiet group but I also tend to be a poor poster. I been working through a tough plateau as well. So even though I know I'm staying strong times like these are when I feel I have no progress to report. I know that isn't true but it can feel that way. Anyone else feel like certain weights are where your body keeps trying to force you too? Like even after you break a plateau one or two enjoyed days brings you right back to that plateau. Than you begin all over again? It's a mental struggle and can be tough.

Keep up the spirits...you will get throught this

I've been trying to figure out what worked to break my last few plateaus, and the only consistent thing I can find is change. I started fasting or low carb or more exercise or different exercise. Thankfully, the weight doesn't come back, but the loss stops till I figure out what to try next.

Well this morning I was up 3 lbs with the bloat from surgery yesterday. I'm hoping that it just drops off quick as it came on lol. I'm quite miserable with pain still though. #GallBladderRemoval

Since we can have water retention / inflammation from just working out, I would think you'll have it from surgery for a few days or more too. Just focus on healing. I hope you're feeling better soon :heartbeat:

Feel better soon!!

Finally got my Gallbladder removed today, after having "attacks" of gallstones/bile since LAST November. I haven't been exercising much lately cuz I had fallen off track anyways but let's see how this affects eating/moving around the next few days. Here's to recovery and hopefully getting back on track after.

Omg, my mom had that and the attacks were so painful! Focus on healing and taking care of your body and you'll also lose weight.

Speedy recovery!

I have completely fallen off the rails since my "margarita momma" night last Saturday after I finished my first 24 hour fast (to counteract any damage from partying)

There is still time to get back into it!

Starlight

Start over now. Consider whether the fast was helpful or if it made you feel like you deserved a several day splurge. Get back to whatever works for you. You got this!

  • Just finished my first ever 24 hour Fast and now am enjoying a delicious salad before a "margarita momma's night" with my friends. Even after not eating for 24 hours, I'm still 1 pound short from the goal but oh well ... I feel great and it helped offset whatever damage I do tonight with my friends ????

@Jacquellyn Ooh, I didn't think of using a hot bath to sweat it out - I like that better than running in the humidity!

Carmen B.

Watch the margaritas after a fast! You’ll be a light weight! Have fun.

Trying my first 24 hour fast... Been loosely doing 16/8 but most days it was more like 18 hours off... One day was 19.5.

I do IF, mainly One Meal A Day. I have done a few extended fasts. The biggest thing for me is to listen to my body. I'm down 60 lbs.

Carmen B.

Me too. It will be by pure luck that I make this round.

  • I have been craving ice cream like crazy but didn't wanna break my diet, especially since I started trying to limit carbs the last 5 days (a very "loose" keto diet). I happened to be walking the aisles of grocery store today and this caught my eye. It's $7 a PINT which is insanity to me since "normal" ice cream is like $3-4 a half gallon but I just had to try it. It's not too different tasting to me. Just not quite as sweet.

You might get the 7 $ back, when you win this round by NOT buying cheap icecream.

Starlight

Ben & Jerry's is at least $4 a pint. And about 800 calories...or, uh, so I've heard :innocent:

Great job!

Nicole, I just changed what and how much I was eating. Trying to lessen eating out, and move more. Walking around more. Jogging in place for like 5-10 min increments at work when I get a chance (I'm a caregiver so there is some down time, fairly often). Go to the gym when I can (I work a ton though so this barely happens). I started counting calories to see what I was really putting in my body. That helped tremendously.

  • Day 5 Full Body Burn Advanced! My arms were already dead from yard work yesterday and then today's workout killed them for good! Lol

Shannon, if you don't mind me asking...how are you doing on this journey of weight loss? I love seeing your posts everyday of the workouts youre doing. And without an actual side by side, I feel like your selfies are looking skinnier in the face! Is the scale reflecting it? (Not that a number is always an accurate reflection of the progress you've made)
