It’s actually very fast weight loss to begin with, isn’t it!? Then it settles down at the end. I have to lose at least .5kg a week for the next 8 weeks in a row to stay on track- there is no wiggle room for a plateau or an off week. It’s nuts!

Depends how much you weigh Em, but yeah, I'm on the same boat as you. I thought for a long time that should I even join this, is it possible for me to lose 10% in a healthy manner (emphasis on this!!) within 6 months... But here I am, let's try to get this done as well as we can!

Ugh. I went off my plan for a weekend and went right back to following it. The weight is STUCK. I have to lose 5 lbs in 12 days and I’m about to go out of town. Looks like I won’t make this round work :/

No reason you can't make some positive changes and make goal even if you are away. Power of positive thinking!

  • It's ok not to win the round, but you can still win the game! You won't lose your money and you would have lost 10% of your weight!

    I didn't make the first two rounds and had 9lbs to lose in one month. I almost gave up, but told myself hey, give it a REAL shot. So I cut out all sweets, went low carb 120-150g/day and semi low cal 1500cals/day, cardio 3xs and 1 strength training session/week. I have been doing it for 16 days and am down 6lbs. I feel like if I can do it, anyone can because I am a sweets fiend. What really helped me with the cravings though is high protein low carb donuts. I can eat two a day so I eat half of each between my meals. The donut is always the same, but the toppings vary so I feel like I'm eating all kinds of desserts.

I am so discouraged. After working so hard to win the last round, I hurt my knee and couldn't do my daily walks. Without the daily walks I got into a funk and ate horribly - gaining almost all my weight back. Just got a steroid shot on Thursday and took my first walk this morning. May not win the next bet, but I'll try my best.

Does anyone look at their body and get angry at themself for what they have done to it. I have stretch marks, droppy body parts, a busted knee among other things and I'm so angry at myself. Like did i not see what i was doing to myself? And most of these things are not reversible. Was i really so unaware of what i was putting my body through?

I have a bad knee and I know my weight made it worse and maybe caused it. I can’t jog or run and a while ago it even hurt from walking, so I thought that meant I’d struggle to exercise to lose weight. Then I got into weightlifting and bought a set for home workouts, and it’s actually made my knee feel way better as well as helped me shed pounds! Now I can do long-distance walks, probably no running though. I’d recommend it for low-impact exercise!
