  • 1 hour on the stairs today & reminder that one day it'll be your warm up because I started with 5 minutes but slowly have built up my strength/stamina over time! We all start somewhere even if it's slow we're still always lapping the version of us that stayed home. How'd you move today?

I believe it was called a cardio countdown. Started with 1 jump squat and a push up on my knees, then did 2, 3, and so on up to 12. Then back down to 1. It was in total 144 jump squats and 144 push ups!

Such a busy day! I love keeping busy. Getting 14,000 steps on accident is the best. Some days I'll walk on the treadmill to get a few more in. It's way too hot to walk far outside.

I'm hoping the couple of changes I made keep snowballing! Because I saw the scale move! I think I was stuck in a rut thinking the weight would eventually budge. But after 5 months, I don't think doing the same thing was gonna work. Lol

Good job ! Even when something is working now doesn’t mean it will on 6 months ! We should stay consistent but make small changes every once in awhile

  • Starting the week off right & setting the tone going into June! Started my morning off going to the gym with my husband and pushed myself despite it being busy and being one of the most sweaty people in the room. Sometimes you have to just focus on yourself and remember you're there for you and your own goals. Find a workout that you enjoy that'll keep you showing up. What're your goals for June?

I was humbled yesterday. I tried on a pair of shorts that fit super well last summer and they were so snug. I had regained about 15 pounds over the fall/winter. And for some reason, even though I feel I'm doing all the same things, it's moving like molasses.

I am noticing when very stressful things happen my brain immediately tells me I need junk food. I'm working on this. I woke up tired this morning but I'm going to get dressed and go to the gym anyways. It's crucial for me to move my body and get some 🚶‍♀️ steps.

I had so many revelations reading a book called, "Life is hard, food is easy." It's about controlling emotional eating and figuring out why you do it. It's pretty much the reason I discovered 'why' I drank alcohol. Now I rarely ever have any. Because I don't 'need' it.
