I have been drinking tons of water and I have been doing intermittent fasting as well I don't think I am gonna win those time around a lot has happened and I have been going through some personal issues

Oh my gosh I didn't realize this is almost over!! I'm doing pretty amazing with exercise because I'm addicted to this home exercise plan I discovered. The eating's been a little bit of a challenge. I've been doing this hypnosis I found on the Alexa the last few nights for weight management and I usually fall asleep before I finish it but I have had two nights where I didn't do this late night snacking so maybe subconsciously it's working or I've just decided to have more willpower.

Ugh... Was two pounds less on Friday, then I hit a few holiday events with higher-sodium foods. The good news is that water weight passes quickly, but the bad news is that I'm at 54% to goal with only a week left!

Don’t recommend getting the flu as a diet.

Happy Monday, everyone! We got this. I would like to open up a discussion on alcohol and it’s effects on weight loss. Aside from the extra calories and lowered inhibitions, I have read that your body processes it first and therefore you store anything else you’ve eaten. I do not know the source and am curious if anyone knows if this is true?

I love this post! I am unsure if your body processes it first, however I do know alcohol can affect sleep, weight loss, and health in general. Sleep is very very important for a working healthy body, so I always try to limit my intake to 1-2 glasses a week. THAT said, with the holidays coming up, the celebrations might make that a little more like 3-4.

Thanks everyone for the responses! One thing I can validate across sources is that alcohol DOES impact weight loss. Added calories from drinks, impact to sleep, and inhibiting food choices all make sense. I’ve noticed it can also make you look ‘puffy’, so I wonder if it causes inflammation or water retention, too.

  • If you've never heard of blended/creamed cottage cheese, try it!
    > 1 serving cottage cheese (I did a cup since it was my breakfast)
    > 1/4 tsp vanilla
    > a little syrup or honey (I did a tablespoon of sugar free syrup)

    Blend until smooth. I topped with berries & Bear Naked granola. You could also do natural peanut butter & low sugar jelly, or chopped nuts & berries...

    High protein breakfast, snack, or dessert! (Just lower the amount for a snack or dessert.)
