Why does my scale fluctuate up and down constantly? I’ll do my weight, step off. Then do it again and all of a sudden I’ve gained three pounds in ten seconds.

Is it the battery? Do I just need a new one? It’s very discouraging because I’ll think I made weight and then next time I’m up four pounds.

Mine was doing that last week... then the display started to fade and it gave a battery low warning...I would replace and see if that helps. I haven't had any crazy back and forth readings since I replaced mine last weekend. Good luck!!

Batteries…but also be very consistent regarding your placement, position, etc. My scale also locks in, so I’m very still until the number “sets”. If I lean over to try to look or photograph before then, it can start to move again!

  • With the game coming to an end with less than 48 hours . Please note that if u didn’t make the goal you still made time to play and even if the outcome isn’t what you wanted . You still did amazing! You aren’t where u started and that in it self is amazing and None the less I’m proud of each and every last one of you . Thank you! Exactly the words I needed to hear. Just missed my target weight and was feeling slightly discouraged. Lost 5.6 during the challenge so will focus on that win instead :)

Hello only made 50% of my goal before my first brush with Covid and my Fibromyalgia prescription being unavailable for for days- compensated with comfort foods. Can you remove me from game so I can start again with another? Ty!

So worried. I managed to get almost 3lb under my DietBetaa am goal. Got stressed yesterday and binged and now I’m about 1.5lb OVER my DietBet goal 😢😢😢 Hoping I can somehow drop some water weight and 2lbs by tomorrow. I’ve worked so d*** hard to lose this weight and for it all to be ruined the day before weigh-in is the most depressing s*** ever. Discouraged

A one-time uptick in food consumption will pass naturally in a day or two, especially when you make good choices the following day. Hopefully you are able to weigh-in.

I am sorry to read about the stressful situation and response though. I hope you are able to find a substitute for food in these situations in the future. Maybe try a timer or guided meditation to get you through the peak of the stress then assess hunger levels or needs? It’s one of the hardest fights we have, so I know personalized suggestions aren’t always helpful, but I want you to find what works for you.
