Under the weather today (my kids passed their cold along to me) and all I want to do is lay in bed - but I managed to push myself a little to do a LIIFT4 workout. Feeling a bit better :)

So haven’t really lost or gained this past week - staying literally at the same weight but a tad bit under goal for the next round. The next round closes in 11 days and we’re going to Chicago to visit family next week… send me all the willpower to make sure I don’t go over 😂 my husbands mom is an AMAZING cook!

  • Dinner tonight was AMAZING! I made BBQ pulled pork flatbread pizza and Jalepeno Popper flatbread pizza with 50cal Tortillas.. GAME CHANGER! only 488 calories for 1 full of the BBQ and half of the Jalepeno Popper. Healthy can taste soooo good!

Did you prebake the tortilla first to help give it a stronger "crust"‽

Yes I put it in for 4-5 min first, put on the toppings then another 5min. I pre cooked the onions for another meal too and ice made these with normal pizza toppings and pre cooked mushroom and pepper first.

Y’all I just wanted to share that I feel GREAT. Haven’t felt like this in a long time. I’m full of energy, I’m at my round 3 goal - I’m getting stronger, leaner even have baby abs poking out!

After 2 kids and weight struggles it feels good to feel… good :)

Sunday is typically a rest day for me but I went to the gym with my husband to do some leg work and then we took the kids to the pool. :)

Small win yesterday - I’m only my 2nd round of LIIFT4 on Beachbody and I would struggle so hard with one of the most hated moves, triple bears. Well, yesterday I could finally do them without modifying! YAY!!!

For anyone who knows this program you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about 😂

Coffee by itself is fine! It's all the milk sugar and creamer we add haha <3 butter is one that is totally rough to leave out. I don't, but it must be hard for some people hehhe

I'm looking into 5:2 fasting schedule, anyone have experience with this? Mainly;

-How do you (or do you) separate the days?
-Do you find any difference in your metabolism/weight loss?
-Do you also work out with this fasting, or do you personally only use the method?
-If you do work out, do you arrange it around the fasting days or do you find yourself fine to work out on the same day?
-What kind of workout, if you do?
-Is it tough initially, or was it easier than you thought?
-Any tips?

I am looking into this as a way to shock my metabolism- I'm plateauing hardcore! However, I do HIIT 4 times a week and am unsure if I'll have energy if I try fasting. So fasting twice a week might work. Let me know!! Thanks!

I do alternating fasts - sometimes 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 I occasionally do fasted workouts and then breakfast right after the workout.
The workout I do is LIIFT4 and that alternates between lifting and HIIT.
I feel like it’s helped me lost weight, once I incorporated fasting the weight first fluctuated (initial shock to the body) but then started coming off.
It was tough initially - there’s a point where you get very hungry, but once you pass that point it gets much easier. Drink a lot of water with ice, it helps. During my fasting hours I clean fast so I only have water and black coffee.

I agree with Dasia, once you're out of your usual cycle of being hungry at 1 because that's what time dinner is, it gets much easier. If I'm fasting, Ice is great, solid, slush , it's something that isn't water:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

  • Very proud of myself for getting this far and winning this round. Consistent nutrition and not feeling deprived has been hard in the past, but I got here through discipline, learning new habits, pizza, egg rolls, and lots of dessert. 😋

not feeling guilty after ANY type of food is key to long term success imo and a key thing my dietician has worked on with me! its all about moderation like you said. that's what is sustainable
