Powdered stevia tastes funky, but we started buying the liquid stevia “better stevia” brand on Amazon and love it!!

Does anyone else struggle with emotional eating? What strategies do you use to not over do it?

I had an extremely frustrating morning and I am struggling to not just snack my way into feeling better. I know it doesn't really work anyway but it's hard.

Ready? I hate this answer but.... "just say no" For the last two months I have been on a program with NO CHEAT MEALS. It's been super hard, but I have really gotten to see just how often I eat my emotions. Good luck, meet yourself where you are and figure out what works for you right now.

The strategy I am using is logging EVERYTHING I eat. I don’t care it if was just a bite of something. I log it somehow. So I can see where my problem areas are and work on that. Also, I only eat 1 serving. Just one and no more. For instance: I had a small bag of lays sour cream and onion potato chips. I savored it while I ate it. It took me about 5 minutes. Before it would take me like 30 seconds and it was gone and I would immediately get another bag. When I am hungry between meals, I munch on baby cucumbers. It’s making sure I have the healthy foods available to snack on.

Does anyone have a workout routine they’re following and would like to share?

I’ve been doing a modified version of 5x5 stronglifts for about a year and love it - I’m more of a weights than cardio person but for cardio I stick to “life activity cardio” (biking, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking - stuff that I enjoy)

I use beachbody on demand because there is a big variety of programs to follow!!! Something for everyone. I definitely prefer weights and life activity cardio as well!

Doctor visit this morning was EXCELLENT! One BP med gone completely, one to be weaned out this month, and then two more scheduled for later this summer if my readings continue to stay low.

These are the best NSV's - I feel like these are justifying the numbers on the scale in the fact that good health is more than just lower weight!

  • I ran my farthest distance today. A year ago I couldn’t even run a mile. I enjoy losing weight, but I enjoy even more seeing how much more I can do physically.

Hands up people who aren't going to make this months weigh in but are still going to keep at it because this is just a setback and it's never too late to get back on it!

I got sick and it put me off my routine and then the healthy eating fell by the wayside for a few weeks. We all make mistakes so I'm trying hard to think positively.
