I reached the 1st round goal, but I'm also doing a matching dates kickstarter and, more importantly, this is my first time back actually working for this in a while, so I have that initial water weight & momentum helping me :) keep doing what you're doing and you'll reach it! Every choice matters and there are hundreds each day. You got this! :muscle::clap:

Fasting. Like Mary said, it cut down on decision making but also time. I didn’t realize how much time went into preparing my coffee.


Plan ahead. I choose my recipes and eat the leftovers in a timely manner so that the food still tastes fresh. I limit the number of meal I eat and only snack once between lunch and dinner but only if I’m genuinely hungry. I don’t eat after dinner so I guess you could argue that I am intermittent fasting without even thinking about it!

Thinking of trying intermittent fasting. Any suggestions? I work full time every Fri, sat, sun from 7a-7p. I have 2 small kids (almost 5 and 2), and a husband who's disabled, so I do all the cooking. Thanks for any help!!

I do 14/10. My feeding window M - F is 9-7. I try for 10 - 8 on the weekends. It helps with my evening snacking. I have tea early AM and PM. It’s also helped with my gut issues. Give it a try & don’t beat yourself up if you forget and eat during your fasting time. You can start fresh the next day. It gets easier after you’ve done it for a few weeks. I don’t miss evening snacking and I barely drink alcohol anymore. Good luck!

It's worth a try! My husband does well on it, but it wasn't great for me. It helped my digestion issues, but I needed the energy from breakfast and it would often trigger a binge

I have heard some people talking about liift 4 and started looking into it. It seems pretty interesting. Have you guys had good luck with it? Where do you get your dumbbells?! Everywhere I have looked for them is so expensive. I was thinking of starting after next weigh in.

My grocery store (think superstore) has weights. They’ve been mostly out of stock but each week I stroll by to check and it seems a few random weights are restocked so I’ve grabbed what I can find when I find it. After about a month I had what I needed. Might be worth a try?

  • On the left was in 2018. And on the right is 2020! I still have a ways to go but I am closer today than I was in 2018! Just take it one day at a time and one workout at a time... What has helped me in my journey is counting calories and working out. I can almost fit into a size 12 pants! I am able to get them on and buttoned but they're still snug and uncomfortable. So hopefully by this time next month they'll fit! Keep going! We can do this!

I'm baffled. I've only lost 3 pounds all challenge. I walk four miles every day, do a hard workout twice a week, and eat Paleo. Usually with Paleo alone I can easily lose 15 pounds in a month. My body loves it. But this year my weight just won't budge!

It's got to be frustrating, if I did all you are doing I would probably be thin as a pretzel, or dead! Lol, so apparently you need to change it up! Good luck, never give up!

Thanks. It's not terribly restrictive for me since my migraine triggers include several things "off" paleo so it's somewhat self-reinforcing. I do track calories, though not rigorously. On the days I track, MyFitnessPal always shows it looking good, not under or over.

Amanda that's so exciting!!! I haven't seen the number 1 in.....probably 8 to 10 years as well. I am 20 pounds away from that goal (hoping to end the six month challenge with this victory). Congratulations, that's such a huge, wonderful moment!!!
