  • I’m looking for advice...
    I am not losing, despite a 800-1000 calorie deficit each day. I track eating thru chronometer and that syncs with my Garmin device. I’m eating about 1400 calories a day.

    I have a lot to lose (at least 60 pounds) and my primary care dr thinks if I’m in deficit then I will lose...doesn’t matter if calories come from carbs, fast food, pop. BUT, I’m not losing.

    Suggestions? I tried IF (18/6) for 6 weeks and lost 5 pounds over those weeks but I started never being hungry so I worried I was messing with my hormones too much.

Actual food that is,...


I'm in the same boat, and it is so frustrating...but there's so much advice in this post that it's impossible to filter, lol. I'd say go see an actual specialist, like some in bariatric medicine, a dietician, or a nutritionist. I'm actually going to my doctor for a referral for this very reason. Good luck!

I am finally to the point where I knock out most of my exercise in the morning before work. My husband is retiring next week, and I hope to up my game and start walking :walking:‍♀️with him in the evenings.

I recently converted from mornings on treadmill or Zumba to multiple random bouts of Oculus 2 Beat Saber. At 54 yrs old, I’m hooked. Lol- exercise is great but has no impact on my weight loss. Keto + intermittent fasting is the way for me. Good luck to you!

What a rollercoaster February was. I ended up getting COVID and was sicker than I’ve ever been in my life. It took forever to move along. I was sick for literally most of this month. I can still hardly breathe and wasn’t able to do any cardio because I get winded just doing simple tasks like folding laundry or sweeping. I am focusing on what March goals I can hit. I hope to get some lung stamina back soon and be able to get on that treadmill. Fingers crossed I am through the worst of this virus.

Ugh I struggled this round. I made a career change this month and my daughter's theater and choir started up again which made it a little more hectic. I'm two pounds away from goal when adds to what I'm going to have to hit to meet goal next month. I was supposed to start working out this month but with the new job I have to wake up earlier and go to sleep earlier during what was going to be my work out time. What are some of the healthy things you busy people do to motivate yourself or launch into working out and maintaining healthy to help me get back on track?

If you fit in a workout -even 20 minutes- every day for a month, it will hopefully become a habit. I told myself 10 years ago to do that, and I’ve been working out almost every day since! Good luck!

Uhhh....everything! lol! Everything taste soo good in there. You can make cinnamon apples (no extra sugar added), healthy breaded chicken with panko bread crumbs....

Shredded Brussel sprouts - I usually hateeee brussel sprouts but if I chop them, peel the pieces apart, lightly spritz with olive oil (just make sure it’s safe for your air fryer) and dash of salt and pepper. Great crispy little snack!

This last month and a half has been hard. My husband asked for divorce, then changed his mind only to do it again three weeks later. I told him that's it. He's playing with my emotions, mental health, and it caused me to go off the rails a few times.

I feel stronger now. I've always been manipulated to do what others want of me. I'm feeling less fearful about being divorced and having better days.

I'm doing this for me.

Can anyone recommend a 12 week exercise program that they like? I work out at home so I have free weights, a barbell, and bands to use. I've hit a plateau and am just trying to shake things up a bit over the next few months.

Also, is there a search function on this app to look through previous posts? They go by so quickly it's hard to find things that I want to reread.
