  • My scale isn't playing nice, and I'm basically at my starting weight right now.... but I told my husband today that spending the $50 per month (Canadian dollars haha) has been more valuable to me than a gym membership because it's really keeping me focused on improving. I'm SO much fitter than when I started, my clothes are fitting better and I feel amazing. I'm training for my first 10km run in June and actually look forward to my runs and workouts every day! My kids and husband are noticing great changes in my energy levels and mood. So, if I don't lose a single pound on the scale I'll be peeved and annoyed that I "lost" so much money, but at the same time I am really really grateful that I found this program!!! Consistency and slow, steady progress over perfection ???? This morning I ran to Starbucks for a dark roast coffee with oat milk. The sun feels amazing!

We are now in our second lockdown of 2021, and I have been so demotivated lately. I am basically back where I started with this weight loss challenge, and am just feeling so defeated. :(
How are you guys staying motivated during lockdowns?

(We are in a LOCKDOWN lockdown, where police can stop and question you if you are outside of your home)

I’m sorry you are in lockdown. I had been going to the gym regularly before all this. I have missed going to the gym for over a year. Have been trying to walk the dog and do little dumb bells at home. Still not ideal though.

  • Today marks 50 pounds lost since July, when I was at my highest weight ever. I really kicked it up a notch in January when I joined this dietbet.
    To celebrate I bought a rocking lawn chair that has a 300lb weight limit... I don't have to worry about that now <3 <3 and that feels amazing<3 <3

  • I fell off the wagon :( now I'm heavier than my month 1 weigh in. So not gonna make it for month 2 :(

    But I'm trying to get back up. Made this for breakfast today (I pickled the jalapenos myself!)

    Hoping I can get back in the game for month 3!

    Any tips or advice is welcome!

I have found the main thing for is watching how much eat. I use myfitnesspal and unless I'm careful I will not lose a thing! It's soo easy to put on weight and you really have to be disciplined to lose it. Itb's hard to be good lol. Actually I haven't been trying hard enough I gained 2 lbs and just started doing better now I am 1.7 lbs from my goal weight. I need to be really careful these last few days and doo better! I was hoping to lose more than just a pound from my last month weigh in

Thanks everyone for the support. I actually just realized I'm in a pretty bad cycle rigut now and I'm turning to food for comfort. I didn't get back on the wagon as I said I was going to. But today I bought a bunch of veggies and healthy snacks and got rid of all my desserts. So take 100093635 starts tomorrow

Does anybody know- I tried to submit a progress weigh in but it wouldn’t let me- does it take the monthly weight check as a progress weigh in eligible for the prize drawing? Or is something wrong?

It’s possible that your Round 1 weigh-in also counted towards this if it’s not asking for a progress weigh-in. Go into your account page and then Membership. Mine says something like “you are entered for this week’s drawing.”
