I won my other Diet Bet that ended yesterday along with the long hard dry February. Husband fixing a glorious dinner tonight with a bottle of wine we've been saving. I'll be glad to have an extra day.

10 pounds seemed so hard, especially after a lame first week. I refused to get on the scale after that. Kept going with no alcohol or sugar and with my exercise. Whew.

I gave up sugar on 2/5 and have hit the point where I’m no longer having cravings. I’m doing a 40 day fast. When I start back I will only choose one time each week that I can have a sugary treat.
Does anyone else have something they are giving up that is a hindrance to meeting their goals?

Congratulations, Frances! Sugar here too! I regret buying sugar free candy bc while it doesn’t make you want to eat more, it does leave you wanting the real stuff. Better to just go without and like you said, be in control of your choice of when to have it in the future.

I gave up sugar on Feb 8th and have lost the craving at last. I have teenage sons and a husband with a sweet tooth (or teeth). Hard to have it in the house, but it makes me feel strong and powerful when I resist. On the other hand, wine is making its comeback tonight

I haven’t lost really this week, not been well, kid sick too. I’ve not been able to exercise and whilst food been fine my water intake has dropped. It’s only week one and results also can take a while, keep going. Make sure you’re eating enough of the right stuff and honestly drown yourself in water. X

Thank you, Suzanne. I know how sick kids can derail everything and being sick yourself is hard too. I hoped a 500ish calorie deficit would make a bigger dent. I am exercising about the same amount but you are right about the water.

Looks like the last time I played was June 2021! Well since then I have gone up and down a couple of times. I lose a ton of weight, compete in bikini body building, and then put it all back on. I would like to take it off for good this time. Hoping to shed a couple of pounds each week. I am on a diet of 130g protein, 30g fat, and 115g carb. I will have to drop the carbs as I get more aggressive at the loss. I workout nearly every day so when the fat come off, I am a machine!
