I’m down 6lbs- the first 4 lbs came off quickly-probably water weight. Now, I need to lose 2.9 more - getting nervous but pushing through. I joined a Stepbet to keep my steps up. I really need to stay focused on being in a calorie deficit for the next 2 weeks. We got this!

  • I went out for a gorgeous sunny run yesterday for the first time in a while. (I hate running in snow & cold but live in northern NY so that’s the norm for a lot of the year for us.) It felt so good to be out moving with the sun on me.

  • Coming back from camping on Cumberland Island. It was absolutely magical! However, I'm a little afraid of stepping on the scales tomorrow morning after loaded baked potatoes and s'mores;) Hopefully, all the walking and swimming burned the extra calories.

Those vacation times are soooo good for our mental and physical health. When I went on a cruise last summer I ate everything in sight but moved so much that I had lost a couple of pounds when I got home. I bet you’ll be the same since you were super active. You got this!!

It is the one with wild horses! And it's tough to get a reservation. They open 6 months ahead and I have to mark it in my calendar to try to get it for spring break. Summers are too hot there, and I had to cancel twice in fall because of the storms. It's a magical place though and worth the efforts. There's some interesting history there too- Carnegie family had a mansion there and later JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette got married in a secret ceremony.

I try to add a nice snack or treat right after dinner so it doesn’t weigh me down late at night but I can still enjoy a treat. I bought some skinny cow nice cream Sammie’s that have helped me - or some fruit when my calorie budget doesn’t have room for an indulgent sweet.

I have been struggling for a while. Last time I tried DietBet was in 2020 and I lost :( But as I recall, I got discouraged and sort of quit trying partway through. I kept coming back to this page and thinking of joining for this round, and finally decided to take the plunge this afternoon. I need the extra accountability and motivation! Let’s goooo!

Well, starting somewhere is better than not starting at all. So here I am and ready to work towards bettering myself. Need to drop exactly 10 pounds in one month. Sleep more, exercise daily and STOP SNACKING BEFORE BED on sometimes foods! Goals.

Just ingredients has a really good protein powder that has no junk. For more inexpensive powder I also liked the Premier protein.

I use Orgain plant-based! I love the vanilla to mix in smoothies!
