  • Waiting on confirmation but regardless I won! The final week was crunch time - dealing with hormonal changes- but I decreased carbs like previously stated, was diligent about workouts and eating and was able to drop the water weight and then some!!! Thrilled with the outcome of this DietBet!

I got on the scale this morning exactly at my goal-but in my birthday suit so I need to allow for a bra and leggings because nobody wants a pic of me in my birthday suite :joy::joy: lots of water and veggies for me today and some straight up cardio (no weights) and I will try in the morning! We got this peeps!!! Don’t give up! :muscle::muscle::muscle::trophy::trophy::trophy:

Yesterday I jogged 4.15 miles straight. People ask me how I do it? I’m over 300 lbs, they think it’s impossible to be active or something. It’s not easy and it didn’t start out that way. First time I tried jogging I don’t think I lasted a minute. But I just kept pushing myself. Losing weight is hard and sometimes we fail or give up. But I just think of all the times I gave up and think if I just kept going I might be where I want to be already. I love this DietBet idea, it’s keeping me motivated everyday!!! We got this!!!!

  • 80DO Round 8 Day 1

    Any day can be your day one! Today is a whole new journey. From January to March, my Round 6 was spent without weights and with lots of pain & tears from frozen shoulder. I spent Round 7 trying to regain my strength and range of motion. Not to mention battling the worse mental place that I’ve dealt with on this journey.

    Round 8 began today with tears again 😂 but I blame Autumn and this quote....

    “Pain is nothing compared to disappointment. It’s nothing to feeling bad about quitting on yourself. You don’t have to quit. You can choose to fight through. You can choose to be obsessed with finishing. Maybe it takes you longer….maybe, just maybe you finish it.”

    This literally describes my entire journey of frozen shoulder this year. Workouts were hard. Life was hard. Nutrition was hard. But I NEVER quit. I pushed through no matter what was happening. I’ve created discipline and consistency in this lifestyle and I couldn’t be more proud of myself!

    I’m beyond excited to see where this round takes me!

I was also suffering from a frozen shoulder and, like you, I pushed through. I modified where I had to (couldn’t do a plank at all) and just pushed through. Now, 2 years later, it’s completely healed. Great job persevering!

  • I planned to only do 2 miles on the elliptical, but my playlist kept bringing up my favorite songs to run to right at the end. Just one more song. Just one more song. Ended up doing 3 miles! So new tip: strategically plan your playlist for when your weakest moments may be.
