Hi! I’m excited to be doing another Dietbet!
I won 3 so far in Jan, Feb, and March and I’m currently doing a 6 month Transformer. I’ve already hit that goal and started not being as consistent as I’d like so I decided to join another!

Happy to have had a NSV today to kick this one off! We had a catered lunch at work today including Chicken Chesapeake which I LOVE, but I stayed the course and ate the salad I packed from home!

Looking forward to doing this with everyone!

How are people still able to join the diet bet? Wouldn’t they have only a little over 2 weeks?

Rachel G. , Molly G. and like this comment.

I believe they would have the same deadline, so yes, two weeks. Nothing like a little pressure…

Yes this is true.

I keep seeing on TikTok about putting a pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt and baking soda into your water to help with absorbency of water. Any insights on this? Anyone do this?

I’m sure it’s to make the water more alkaline which is said to make the body less acidic. I think the jury is still out.

I agree with Meagan. To help with alkalinity. Dr Anna Cabeca talks about this.

When i started this i talked to my husband and told him how much i just want to buckle down and lose the 20Lbs ive gained over the past 10 years. Considering thats an average of 2lbs a year i really dont fault myself much. Ive had immense change and have slowly been moving toward a healthier lifestyle. I am currently vegan and B2 structure is pushing me even further toward the plant based lifestyle. Its truly a perfect match for me and my family.
My husband has been so supportive the past two weeks, ive been open and sharing my disappointment as i dial in my nutrition harder and harder every day and still (slowly) gain weight for the past 5 days in a row. He just keeps encouraging me to keep at it and the change will come. He’s right but i have never in my life been a “dieter” i have always just refused to engage BUT i WANT to eat more veggies at every meal and build discipline and healthy habits and tastebuds.
So off i go tonight in hopes that tomorrow is day 1 of melting mode (or rather that today was). I ate over 20 different plants and carefully tracked my accessories, i drank WELL Over a gallon if water and worked out. It was a great day.
Non-scale victory of the week is this: deapite gaining and feeling discouraged…im NOT craving junk, like at all.

You’re doing awesome. Consistency is the key. ( psst…I wish I weren’t craving junk. Albeit keto versions but still.) keep up the good work.

Luci E.

I feel this so deeply!! I have been transitioning to be predominantly plant based and in a similar struggle where even though my nutrition is on point, the scale seems to be going in the wrong direction. (Today is the first day since the diet bet began that I’m finally a pound below my weigh in weight). It can be mentally exhausting.
But my bf said the same thing, “just keep at it and don’t give up.” I think focusing on the non-scale victories is our biggest win right now! I agree completely, eating this way has greatly reduced the desire for treats and has me craving to stay plant based. We’re taking care of our bodies and feeding them well, hopefully the rest/weight loss follows in time. Keep up the good work!! And thanks for sharing. Nice to know I’m not alone!

1 cup Berries (blueberries & raspberries)
1/4 cup Vanilla Protein Powder (BeachBody Vanilla Recharge or Vegan Vanilla Shakeology)
1/4 cup Quick Cook Rolled Oats
Dash of Cinnamon
1/8 cup Almond Milk (unsweetened)
1TBSP Coconut Mana (Butter)

Preheat oven 425 F

Lightly grease an oven safe dish with coconut butter & fill with 1 cup of berries.
Place into the oven for 5-10min until berries begin to swell.

Mix 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder, 1/4 cup rolled oats in a dish. Add 1/8 cup almond milk and 1 TBSP of coconut mana (butter) combining the mixture until crumbs start to form (do not mix until smooth). Top with cinnamon if you’d like! Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly on the half baked berries and return to the oven for 10-15 min until golden brown on top and berries oozing with their juices.

Enjoy warm on it’s own or topped with a spoonful of SKYR.

Questions you may have:

Why coconut butter and not coconut oil?
The 2 are different and cook differently. Coconut butter is made from the whole coconut which means it contains fiber.

What’s the best dish to cook the crumble in?
A small round pyrex so you can see the berries while they cook.

What almond milk brand?
Be sure to check the ingredients so they are all words you can pronounce. I use Simply Almond milk which is 50 cal per serving.

What is SKYR?

I came in a few days late. Hoping to regroup. I’m in another 6-month DietBet but have lost a lot of ground because of hormone issues. I won’t make the last round.
So, I’m starting this DietBet in hopes I can regroup and get back on track!

I'm up 8lbs after a vacation in Greece and not limiting how we ate. I honestly entered my weight today here, and I know some water weight and bloat will come down, then it will be back to work on it all for anything that was permanent plus continuing to lose towards my overall goal. I'm excited to keep living a healthy lifestyle!

How awesome that you went to Greece. You can get back on track.

I completely fell off the bandwagon. Like round two….but after a recent visit to my doctor and learning some things about my thyroid, I’m kicking it back into gear!!!
I’ve stopped drinking alcohol, been working out, and eating very well lately, as well as slowly reducing a medication which my doctor said was packing on the pounds.
Lastly, I NEVER post during diet bets. Ever. If you have a moment to comment something encouraging I would love it! I look forward to being more active on the feed throughout the final few rounds.
Thanks in advance!!!

You got this! Knowing more about your body is never a bad thing. You're doing the hard work to keep your body healthy, go you!!

I won round 1 and then have gained 15 lbs back so there is no way I can win this diet bet. I’m so disappointed in myself but it’s encouraging seeing others who fell off get right back on. Good luck to you!

  • Crossed into the 220s last night after jiujitsu & weighed this morning just to double check on another scale! I decided to try on my goal jeans and decided to rock them all day! I bought these and was so disappointed when I tried them on the first time and a few times till today! This week I added intermittent fasting to my routine, seems like it is gonna shake things up! I have tree trunk legs but I am happy in these “skinny” jeans! 😂😂😂

Congratulations! You have earned that success. I too have reached a new pant size. I love going shopping in my closet for a new wardrobe.
