Here is one of my favorite tips-

I always have my rule of “3 by 3”- 3 Big water bottles by 3pm. I added in “and 1 by 9,” and it really changed things! Yes, I have to get up in the middle of the night but I probably was anyway. It’s so much better. I feel so much lighter and well hydrated, especially as the new summer days last longer.

Chicken salad for breakfast, skipped the FFc since I ate late. Ribs, green beans, and apple clafoutis for lunch and salad and flounder for supper.

I know many of you have had a long weekend- Don't worry I got you!

This is a seriously effective one. I realize more and more that when someone feels accomplished in other facets of his or her life, she has a much easier time staying disciplined.

Option 1- Work out: I have seen dozens of people lose tons of weight without exercise but there’s something about the sense of physical accomplishment and strength following a workout that propels a greater sense of self care throughout the day.

If you dread exercise and it and it makes you eat more and not lose weight, go to option 2.

B. Option 2- Find another outlet that makes you feel accomplished and takes time to yourself. It can be decluttering and organizing or taking a class in a hobby of yours.

Whatever it is, Commit to a goal of not treating your body like a trash can. If you keep that mantra in mind (“I won’t treat my body like a trash can,”) it can give you an amazing sense of physical empowerment. This is powerful this week as you turn down food pushers and stay focused on your goals. Plan ahead and make it happen. You can do it!

Hi everyone! I’m late to the game but it’s my fist dietbet and I’m excited to jump in. I was apprehensive about joining but after listing to a couple of Ilana’s podcast today I am motivated more than ever!! As she says., No change is no change... so time to get out of my comfort zone (which isn’t really very comfortable) I am ready to be more confident and get into weight loss mode. This mental shift I am discovering in myself is what I think has always been the missing piece. Can’t wait to see my progress in the next 23days!!
