Hi all. I understand there is some disappointment with the $40 return for those who hit the goal. Considering it was a January DietBet and a lot of people are motivated , SO many people hit their goals which in turn, means a smaller payout. Which I personally think is so exciting and I’m SO proud 😭 In these games you can win a few bucks...sometimes more, sometimes less. But the accountability, extra motivation, meal ideas, having $35 on the line to lose, the community, etc is also such a huge part of it. The money is just that extra perk! Which is why I try NOT to promote my games with the money aspect being the main focus

Thank you all for being such a great group. I’m so sorry for anyone who was disappointed

January is a huge month for people getting their goals! Plus to the people complaining, y’all are complaining that others didn’t fail their goal...let that sink in...you are complaining that not enough people failed their goal for your liking.

This wasn’t about making money! It was about losing weight. But $5 is still $5 gained! If you didn’t feel like it was worth your time, then you are losing weight for the wrong reasons.

I’m not disappointed that lots of people won, however if you look at the numbers that’s not the only issue. Dietbet tells me that 4923 of 7509 participants won, so if those 4923 were splitting the total pot of $262,815, each would get a payout of $53.39. It’s perfectly reasonable that Dietbet should take some of that for overhead costs and salaries, but if you do the math they took a whole 25% in this game, or $65,703.75. The FAQ says Dietbet takes anywhere from 10% to 25%— how do they decide how much to take? I’d like to know so I can avoid participating in the games they take more of. Had Dietbet taken only 10% I would have won $48.04. I’d love to see more transparency from Dietbet.

I do not understand the negativity about the payout, y’all. If you win and only paid $35, you’ll at least get your fee back and you lost weight for free. If you paid $40, then you may lose a couple of bucks and while I’m sure that’s frustrating, remember you were willing to stake $35 to maybe lose 4%, so why not $3 to actually do it. Keep it positive!! Proud of everyone who has participated 💪

I don’t understand all this negativity that’s been going on in this challenging and on the transformer challenge. Personally I think part of it people don’t understand the concepts and should perhaps read the RULES before they sign up for a challenge .

GOODMORNING and happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!

Today I want to talk about NON food related “rewards”. During my weight loss when I set goals, I wanted to have something to look forward to. When I hit 100 lbs lost I got my hair done! I want to make some updates to my bedroom, so for every 10 pounds I lose I am making an update. Starting out small like organizing baskets, and lamps, curtains, and moving up to bedside table, rug, painting the walls.

  • HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!! Starting off week 3 and I want to know what your going to do this week to push yourself!!!

    Whether that means an extra 10 minutes on your workout/walk, hitting a water goal each day, sticking to your meal plan, etc. What are you going to do this week to show yourself how capable you really are? STOP making excuses , STOP looking back and look FOWARD. If you’ve been struggling the first half of this DietBet, that doesn’t mean your down and out. How much progress can you make physically and mentally in the next few weeks? Not ONLY striving for that 4% goal, but striving for a better you. A you that is READY to make 2021 the year you don’t give up on yourself.

    My goal this week is to get 20 minutes on the stairmaster each day I workout ! I’ll be posting proof here to keep myself accountable. I want you to write your goal in the comments. I will pick one person to win a pair of Apple Air Pod pros!

I will be staying on track with my WW points and tracking everything. I’ve stuck to it this far and am just one pound away from winning this DietBet. I want to CRUSH it!!

I have 2 goals... my physical goal is to make a commitment 30 minutes of exercise 5x a week. My job is stationary and this is very important to me. My second goal is mental. I am trying to train myself to not focus on dates and timelines. Getting healthy isn’t a race. If it takes you 3 months or years, I need to make sure I don’t give up because all of those times I have up I would have crossed the finish line by now. It’s about a lifestyle change- not a race to fit in an outfit by a certain date.
