I’m so gutted. I literally was only 1.5 pounds away from reaching my target weight loss for DietBet and I’ve just came on my period for the first time in two months. I don’t know about anyone else but my cycle seriously messes up my weight with the amount of bloating I get - looks like this is the end of the line for me 😭 I’m still so pleased with the progress I’ve made and I’m going to try my best not to eat any of the snacks tucked away in my cupboards and stay consistent but I’m just so gutted that I came this way for it to be taken so quick!

  • I needed something warm and filling after my 6 mile walk in the rain 😳 so good and so cheap just fresh panfried chicken breast with a mixture of half a can of mushroom soup and peas with seasoning - SO GOOD

I want to make some updates to my bedroom, so for every 10 pounds I lose I am making an update. Starting out small like organizing baskets, and lamps, curtains, and moving up to bedside table, rug, painting the walls.

    Let’s talk comparison. I know it’s something a lot of us struggle with, especially in the weight loss community.

    “Susan lost 5 lbs this week and I only lost .5”

    And you get discouraged and wanna quit. Or you want to be more extreme with your methods. Remember every single person is different. Comparing your weight loss progress to someone else’s is completely unrealistic and is going to do nothing but discourage you.

    We all go at different places. We all have different bodies. We all workout differently, eat differently, etc etc etc. You CANT compare yourself. Focus on you, how far you’ve come and be proud instead of constantly putting yourself down.

Is anyone else literally back at square one with their weight loss? I hardly lost any weight in the first week and have had my birthday over the week so I’ve barely lost anything I need to complete DietBet successful! It’s so frustrating as I’ve been exercising and eating better as one but it’s just made me feel so rubbish 😭

Me too—but I wasn’t pushing the water intake and “veggies most” like I promised myself I would. That changed this weekend—-I am making veggies my main course with protein as the side instead of the other way around.

  • Remember that while yes, the goal of this game is about losing that 4%.... I want you to have other goals as well. Goals that don’t involve the number. Goals that make you feel PROUD, confident, strong. Things that are going to set you up for long term success

    If you’re thinking this is a 4 week challenge and then it’s “over” you have the wrong mindset. This journey is never over. Built new habits that can help you sustain this weight forever. Have a treat here and there to build that healthy relationship and balance with food. Do we wanna lose the weight or lose the weight AND keep it off.

Is anyone else struggling to shift any pounds this week? Mentally and physically I haven’t felt better - feeling so good and lively, but I’m disappointed that I haven’t seemed to have lost any weight at all. And my birthday is tomorrow! Help!

The scale is stuck!!!! Your post could be me! Minus the birthday. I just keep telling myself how much more energy I have and feeling better because I am not eating too much or food that I know I should not. I am committing to continuing and soaking in the glory in an another week when I am sure I will see the a change on the scale.

Lost a lb in the first week, now scale is stuck. But I'm staying consistent and hoping for a big whoosh of loss before this diet bet is done. The scale messes with my head. I'm thinking of not weighing again until the official weigh out at the end.

    Starting week 2 of the DietBet! How are we feeling? Even if week 1 didn’t go the way you were hoping, every single day is another day to do this. To do what you’ve been telling yourself you’re to do

    If not NOW then WHEN?! Get your meals set, move your body (even if it’s a 20 min walk), and STOP making excuses. The only thing standing in your way is yourself. Stop expecting perfection and just START. If you think you did something to “mess up” you didn’t. Excuse. Just KEEP GOING

My goal this week has been to keep my water intake up. I do really good when I always have a cup in my hand... last week I did 140 oz a day , just to keep me fuller and I kept busy. So this week, I am trying to keep up the 140 oz and add more walks.. it's getting warmer and the sun is shining, so an extra dose of sunshine is coming my way!! Good luck all with this weeks goals!!

  • Nearly a week in and I’m already 34% in towards reaching my DietBet goal! Staying consistent with tracking my food and continually making progress in increasing my running endurance!

    I’m running 56 miles (around 90km) over the month of February to raise money for Cancer Research UK and I’m currently only £40 away from my £150 goal! If anyone has the means to donate you can do so at the link below.
