I am 3.5 pounds away from my goal weight and 2 pounds away from from winning this diet bet and I’ve been at a plateau for the last 2 weeks. What have you all done to break through your plateaus?

Water, good cardio workout (even a brisk walk counts). I usually try eating more one day, eating less another...anything to shake it up!

Intermittent fasting is a game changer for me. Good luck!

How do you all choose to treat yourselves? I feel like never treating myself is not sustainable in the long run but when I do treat myself I go overboard and tend to take days to get back on track the way I would like. I’m curious what has worked for everyone else, as I’m struggling to find a balance that works for me.

This is me. When I treat myself with food, I go crazy. I think I have some binge eating to work on. However, my favourite is snacking at night. If I know this is what I want to do, I don’t eat as much during the day so I can keep my macros and calories for later on!

I just wanted to comment and say thank you everyone for the ideas! This week has been better! :relieved:

Gave in and had some pizza earlier in the week after a long day of work but got on the scale this morning and still lost! I’ve hit my goal and now just have to keep it up 💪

Majorly unmotivated this time. I'm constantly hungry and have MASSIVE cravings, like, hard to concentrate on anything else sometimes because I want to eat/drink a particular thing so badly. What can I do to curb these weird obsessive cravings? I try drinking water and waiting it out 15 minutes, but it doesn't help often, and I end up eating the thing anyways.

If you’re craving something sweet, have some fruit or peanut butter! If you’re craving something salty maybe nuts or seeds? Try to help kick the craving by eating a healthier option of the thing you’re most wanting :)

Hi! I'm late to this post but it spoke to me. I have the same issue. My cravings, unfortunately, are rooted in my emotions. When I have a bad day, or something goes wrong, or my feelings get hurt, I'm more likely to crave foods. Food always helped me cope. But I'm beginning to realize that food doesn't actually fix anything. In fact, it's temporary benefit causes long-lasting negatives. And, the negative emotions are still there no matter what I eat. So I am really trying to figure out what I can do to fix the negative emotions so that the cravings come up less and less as time goes on. I want to change my relationship with food. Journaling has helped. I don't know what is causing your cravings, but I hope you get the chance to find out!
