  • Happy Monday all!

    Hope everyone is doing good. Wanted to jump on and post the Starbucks gift card winners from Friday. Ladies please contact me, coffees on me.

    Week 2 let’s head into it strong and confident. Believing that we can accomplish the goal ahead is such an important part of your success. You must recognize your ability to accomplish your goal and stay optimistic about the future as you achieve what you’ve set out to. I’m a big advocate of daily positive affirmations I tell myself out loud that I can do this. I have done it through my entire weightloss. It really does make all the difference. Even if at the start of something you don’t think it’s possible if you tell yourself something enough you’re bound to believe it. Besides like I always say if you don’t believe in yourself who will?

    What’s everyone working toward this week other than chipping away at your dietbet goal? Mine is to get at least two 2 a days in and a cycle workout m-f after work. Making my water and sleep a priority is also at the top of my list.

  • I’ve had a rough couple of weeks. My 16 year old gal pal, Bandy, went downhill & we said goodbye to her yesterday. I’ve lost dogs before, but this one is really hitting me hard. I’m going to let myself grieve it out over the next couple of days with a lot of walking/jogging/hiking and crying I’m sure.

    I’m not going to drown my sorrows in a bunch of food. I’ve come too far. I’m going to focus on healthy choice and moving my body a lot. This month is likely a miss. I’m totally okay with a couple wins, a couple losses and hopefully a good strong finish. Thanks for listening. Your posts are pushing me in the right direction.

Thank you so much for your kind words and hugs. She was the sweetest. My jog/walk today started with tears but I ended sweaty & strong. I’ll definitely bring her spirit with me & keep her in my heart - I love that Kimpy & Lani.

Hi everyone my name is Kamila. I started my first dietbet at the beginning of January. I signed up for 6 months transformer and kickstarter. I already met my goal for transformer and I am like 24 lbs below my July goal in transformer. I still need to lose around 40 lbs so that's why I am here. Every month I sign for one of kickstarters to keep me motivate to lose more weight. I lost about 47lbs since January. yey. Good luck everyone!

  • PSA to everyone, but especially us dieters, to ALWAYS eat well, drink lots and rest up after giving blood.

    I normally do but today had a hundred things to do, one of which was go to the Apple store to get my phone fixed... just as I was being taken from the queue to my appointment I started to feel terrible, I couldn’t even really understand what the dude was saying to me so I had to tell him I thought I might faint. He took me to the side and got me a stool (please don’t sit in a stool when you’re feeling faint) then went to get my genius person for my appointment. Next thing I know I’m opening my eyes on the floor, no memory of getting there, with a bunch of Apple people coming towards me 😳. I had fainted and toppled sideways onto the floor head first 😩.

    So yeh, please do give blood but remember to eat and drink substantially beforehand and be extra cautious afterwards!

similar thing happened to me but while giving a blood . I fainted while giving my blood so I was safe on the bed. It was spontaneous act while shopping. Since I did not eat before I came there it was not such a good idea.

Yikes! I've nearly fainted a few times after giving blood. Now I try to be really careful and rather eat/drink too much than too little.

Got at least one veggie into every meal! It felt really good! I had spinach most mornings sautéed with my scrambled eggs and zucchini the other mornings. I made my snacks veggies and hummus and it was delicious :) I’ve always been good about having at least one veggie with dinner but I made sure to also get one in with every lunch as well :)

I've been grilling a lot of veggies lately. So good. I put a cheap sheet pan right on the grill. I have been adding greens to every meal too like mixed greens
