  • What small changes (or big!) have you implemented to change your eating habits so far? Do you have any additional goals for the next several days?

I have largely avoided splurging and mindless snacking, but I’m still adjusting my protein/carb/fat intake. I’m strength training a lot so need to settle on a good mix.

I’ve been making sure to drink half my body weight in water and NOT eat past 8PM. Seeing a world of change

I’ve starting eating my meals in a 6 hour frame and I don’t eat after 7 p.m. Doing this gives my body 18 hours to digest my food and cleanse out my body. This is an easy form of fasting for me and has helped me keep off the weight and slowly lose more. I also don’t buy “trigger foods” and ask my family for support in my weight loss journey.

  • Yay!! I hope you all met your goals! But even if you didn’t win I feel you made that step and that is a non scale victory.
I started in 2018 after my 50th bday. I was 349 pounds. Give or take. I have now lost 210 pounds so far. The one word I think makes losing possible is consistency. You all got this!!

Took a week off of workouts due to covid. Did my first workout and dang my body is still wore out from covid. I've already hit my goal just need to maintain it!

This is how I know my mindset has shifted and that things are truly different this time. (I can’t even count how many times I’ve said that before and quit…)

I weighed in this morning, not feeling too hopeful as I went a bit over my calorie limit both days this weekend. I stepped on the scale and I’m down .6 pounds, not a major loss but I’m happy I didn’t gain! I had a very big weight loss goal this month because I have a high starting weight. I was feeling hopeful in the beginning but now I’m realizing I won’t be able to hit my DietBet goal this month.

But you know what? That’s okay! I’m currently down 6.8 pounds this month! The first time in a long time that I haven’t gained weight, especially during covid. And another bonus, I have 2 pairs of jeans that wouldn’t even zip/button that I can now actually wear!

I may not have been able to lose my overall monthly goal, but I’m heading in the right direction and I’m feeling so confident. Instead of focusing on how I could’ve done better last week, or simply quitting due to being frustrated, I know I can buckle down and end the month strong.

Here’s to another great week!

YES!! Small victories add up to winning!

I love this, Laura. I'm focusing on letting go of the need to be perfect and celebrating all the movement in the right direction.

Calorie counters!! What do you do if you run out of calories early in the day? Asking for a friend.😉

Still eat. Fill your plate with vegetables. It is not the end of the world. Water is your best friend

Barbara E.

You eat, but eat things that are good for your body. And then the next day You try again to do better.
