  • Trying to stay motivated. Scale hasn’t moved in 7 days. I’m IF and 1200 calories a day. Trying to make as many JERF recipes as possible. Quick throw together this morning: plain rice cake, 1/2 avocado, cheese, one egg. It was delicious and filling, drank a full glass of water with my meal.

I don’t know about calories, I follow a low glycemix index diet so I would advise you avoid the rice cakes. Any « puffed » cereal (pop corn also) has a high glycemic index. It raises the glycemy in your blood and makes your body produces too much insulin: you crave unhealthy food and stock fat.
You could replace the rice cake with a slice of whole bread or an overnight porridge (cooked and hot oat would have a high glycemic index too).
Good luck!

Thank you everyone! It was not on medical advice (just NOOM) to eat 1200 or less calories. I still have 42 lbs to lose, but I will do some research and try something different.

Brittany,
Where do I submit this weeks weigh in? Does it need a picture?

Kelly T. , Empress T. and Svenja H. like this comment.

Kelly T.

No, just unofficial. It’ll be at the top of the posts (where it displays your current weight).

I am not seeing the option for my weekly progress weigh-in?

Very top of all the posts. Where your current weight is displayed. Just submit unofficial weigh-in. No picture needed.

Beth S.

Thank you. I did do that, but the weekly official weigh-in was missing for me to do

My weight was approved last night so I am hitting hard this morning with recipes. Peanut butter blender mini muffins (doubled) and egg roll in a bowl (doubled). I’ll have leftovers and easy grab and go meals. I’ve also been pounding water which is super helpful while cooking all these delicious foods! Good luck everyone! (Recipes are from Instant Loss cookbooks).

Yum! I LOVE discovering your recipes. I will admit I'm more of a grab and go person, 1 of my favorite snacks to help my sweet tooth is heating up a 70 cal fiber one chocolate brownie for about 12 seconds in the microwave, and top with ready whip :yum: if I'm REALLY hungry, I grab a built bar!!

The ONLY thing I can eat sagely that kicks my sweet tooth to the curb is a sliced apple with cinnamon microwaved to super soft and juicy. Even though what I really want are cookies, the apple is so sweet and tart that it helps the feeling pass.

  • Week 1 Water Intake Challenge
Welcome to all our new and returning members! I am super excited to have you here with us! Throughout the game I will be hosting fun (free, you do not have to pay the $5 membership fee to participate) weekly challenges where you will have an opportunity to win some awesome prizes!

This week 4/26- 5/2 I challenge you to track your water intake every day. I challenge you to drink a minimum of 80 ounces a day this week Mon.-Sun.! I have tracked my water intake throughout my journey by writing in my planner, but you can use a tracking app, notes in your phone, whatever method you feel will work best for you!

Submit your tracking by the end of the day on 5/2 to a check-in thread that I will post the morning of 5/2 to the group. The winner will be announced on Mon. 5/3! This week’s winner will get a $25 Amazon gift card! Let’s do this!

Comment and let me know how you plan to track your water intake!
