NSV. Just ate a huge salad. Sat and looked at some cookies and put them away.. then thought maybe I need a treat so looked at making coaches cookie dough and stood there for a min and decided I'm full from salad so I do not need this eating opportunity.

  • Good Morning! Today I’m trying a sweet breakfast! Yesterday I had a savory breakfast and had a great weight loss this morning so I’m going to see if anything changes if I start on a sweeter note. This is Ilana’s high protein oats with liquid egg whites cooked into them which she shared on IG a while back. I added chocolate chips, pumpkin seeds and half a scoop of cake pop flavored protein powder…plus a few raspberries! One water bottle down! Good luck today!

Good Morning!! Your oatmeal sounds amazing!! I think the trick is not savory or sweet, but what is the content?! If you’re hitting your protein goals with added good carbs, you will continue to lose weight :)

Yes! I hope so! I was concerned that starting sweet would lead to sweet cravings all day…but luckily I felt in control and satisfied!

Week 2 goals:
1. Add in 20 min workouts / or stretching on rest days
2. Subtract the random weekday evening glass of wine- substitute 0% sugar tonic water with lemon if I feel the urge.
3. Hit my water goal everyday!

  • Here’s an interesting one for you…air-fried stir fry veggies and added leftover salmon. Accessorized with some pretty random and delicious stuff- feta, Brazil nuts, hemp seeds, ranch and chipotle sauce. Sounds like a weird combo but it was SO GOOD!! I’m dinner and done and already surpassed my water goal for the day!

  • Already took a couple of bites but here’s breakfast! 1 slice of high fiber toast with thin layer of cream cheese and one egg. Everything but the bagel seasoning and chipotle sauce on top! 1 water bottle down!

Listening to Fridays call and meal prepping steamed broccoli for tonight - having dinner at in-laws and wanna make sure I’ve got my 75% veg available. Hi All! I’m a mom of 2 little boys in New England and I’m currently in grad school working toward becoming a NP. I’m excited to be doing another dietbet with Ilana! I’ve been doing 2B since March 2021 and I’ve dropped 30lbs. I’ve been maintaining within a 5-8lb range since last February and I’m now ready to get rid of the last 10 for good. I have a trip to Puerto Rico planned in February and I’d love to feel my best before that! I’m listening to her book again, tracking and focusing on the principles of 2B and I know I’m definitely in weight loss mode but I’m ready to get into melting mode!

In the past, I’ve found that the things that help me succeed in winning the bet are: daily posts in this group, PLANNING my meals ahead of time, pre-filling water bottles and cooking a big batch of vegetables (spag squash, frozen stir fry veggies) whenever I have a moment as it helps ensure I always have cooked veggies on hand- because December in northern New England does not make me want to eat any raw veggies…so I always need something I can easily warm up. Also, throughout the day (in the car, on a walk) I listen to Ilana’s book, podcast, IG lives, literally any of her content because she keeps me focused and excited to drop it! hope these tips are helpful to some. I too notice I win when I post daily. As of recently I noticed how planning my meals ahead of time is a game changer. I used to always skip that! & I’ve told myself to prefill my bottles and cook veggies too like that but haven’t gotten there! I’ll gradually start adding those systems to stay on track!!! Thank for the tips!
