Why does water weight make such a difference? I had a good weigh-in this week but feel so dehydrated after going swimming yesterday. I feel like swimming helped with this weigh-in but feel very dehydrated this morning. Normally, I add in water when I feel like I am retaining it, but today, I will be adding in 80+ ounces because I am feeling sunburned and thirsty. How much water do you all drink everyday? Do you intentionally drink a certain amount more on days you workout? While my weigh in was good, I don't feel great this morning...

great questions. I aim to get a minimum of five 12 oz glasses untweeted beverages total (water, coffee, tea). I preload my meals with 2 cups cool unflavored water before each meal. I would also count black coffee or tea towards the total fluids. I aim to drink 3 cups of green tea between meals at least an hour after eating as to not interfere with iron absorption. I aim to drink water, black coffee or hibiscus tea with meals. BUT never large amounts of caffeine within six hours of bed time because sleep is important for weight loss too. And never more then 3 cups an hour cuz its too much stress on the kidneys.

TLDR: if your pee is never darker than a pale yellow your drinking enough, unless you eating Riboflavin-fotified food such as nutritional yeast. Those will make the pee dark regardless.

I did a great job tracking my food, water, and exercise this week! Not super thrilled with what I wrote down everyday, but tracking helped me realize that. And that I need to way increase my water. I will continue trying to track and improve!!

I am doing well...although some of my weight loss is from getting norovirus. Trying to get my energy back so that I can get back to my healthy diet and exercise habits.

Pandemic eating and post-partum depression were not kind to me. After the holidays, I weighed myself and came in at 209 pounds (I was 220 at 9 months pregnant). The heaviest I have ever been. I had zero energy, wanted to sleep all of the time, and did not want to spend time with anyone. On January 1, I decided complete a Whole90 (3 straight rounds of Whole30) to focus on nutrition. I did it and lost about 15 pounds. I started feeling a little bit better and so I decided to challenge myself with a 1 month DietBet. I won that DietBet and now, as I continue to introduce more activity into my lifestyle and have the motivation to keep working on healthy habits, I am excited to do a 6 month DietBet! I am starting to feel "human" again and look forward to time with my kids and spouse! Let's do this - I never want to go back to how I was feeling before. Why did you decide to do a DietBet?

I was super athletic before I had my daughter, and I feel like I owe it to her to be the same active and healthy mom! The money means that I can't skip out, excusing it as not needing to have time for myself. I'm already back to running!

I have about 50 lbs to lose. I’m TIRED of being like this. I have ALMOST reached my goal 3x. 153 (2009), 138 (2014) & 133 (2017). It’s TIME to get to 120 or 130!

Age: 40
Height: 5’4”
SW: 202 lbs (2007; pregnant)
CW: 173.1 lbs (6-11-21)
GW: 120-130 lbs (toned)
