Pandemic eating and post-partum depression were not kind to me. After the holidays, I weighed myself and came in at 209 pounds (I was 220 at 9 months pregnant). The heaviest I have ever been. I had zero energy, wanted to sleep all of the time, and did not want to spend time with anyone. On January 1, I decided complete a Whole90 (3 straight rounds of Whole30) to focus on nutrition. I did it and lost about 15 pounds. I started feeling a little bit better and so I decided to challenge myself with a 1 month DietBet. I won that DietBet and now, as I continue to introduce more activity into my lifestyle and have the motivation to keep working on healthy habits, I am excited to do a 6 month DietBet! I am starting to feel "human" again and look forward to time with my kids and spouse! Let's do this - I never want to go back to how I was feeling before. Why did you decide to do a DietBet?

I was super athletic before I had my daughter, and I feel like I owe it to her to be the same active and healthy mom! The money means that I can't skip out, excusing it as not needing to have time for myself. I'm already back to running!

    I first want to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning members! Hope you enjoy this Memorial Day as we remember our fallen hero’s . I am so excited to have you here with us this challenge! Throughout the game I will be hosting fun (free, you do not have to pay the $5 membership fee to participate) weekly challenges where you will have an opportunity to win some awesome prizes!

    This week 6/1-6/6 I challenge you to incorporate (and track) at least 45 minutes of exercise every day this week Tue.-Sun.!

    Submit your tracking results by the end of the day on 6/6 to a check-in thread that I will post the morning of 6/6 to the group (It will be pinned at the top of the posts titled week 1 check-in). Then one winner will be chosen at random to win my favorite high-density round foam roller. Perfect to use for a variety of strengthening, flexibility, and balancing exercises! The winner will be announced on Mon. 6/7!

    Remember 45 minutes of activity could be a walking the dog, a virtual yoga class, vacuuming the house, anything that gets you moving! You’ve got this!!! Let’s start this game off by focusing on getting our bodies moving this week.

  • WELCOME FRIENDS! Just stopping by real quick to say hello and let you know how excited I am to have you join us for the Summer Shape Up challenge! Weigh-ins begin as early as Sunday the 30th but you have up until the second week of the game to officially weigh in. I want you to know that there is a weekly weigh-ins hosted by Dietbet, but the only weigh-ins that are officially required of you is the one at the beginning of the game and the one at the end of the game. For fun I like to host my own weekly challenges with fun incentives and prizes (cookbooks, gift cards, etc.) to keep the game exciting so be on the look out for those!
