  • I made some quick energy bites to freeze to satisfy my sweet cravings.

    These are so good!

    I used 1 c natural pb
    1/8 c honey
    1/4 c mini chips
    1/2c oats
    Scoop of my vanilla shakeo

    Mix together and roll into 1” balls and I freeze mine but you can refrigerate! Delish treat!

I agree with Trish! This is one of the best replays! I love all the nutritional education. Understanding the how and why of veggies and fiber and supplements is so equipping!! And thank you, Ilana for your transparency...always.

Thank you Ilana. I'm going to set a goal to add more fiber filled carbs into my day because I have been avoiding them all together (in non veggie form). I think like you said, it will give me more energy and better bathroom visits.

Also, for the nighttime routine I totally agree with you on screen time. My husband and I always fall asleep to the tv playing but it's always friends or frasier, things that we've seen before and can mindlessly fall asleep to. And great goal to read 2 pages of your book before falling asleep. I've been needing to do more of my bible reading and this will be a perfect opportunity to reach both goals. Thanks again!!

I want to hear from you!

Aside from the scale, what are your biggest wins and proudest moments from the past month???

I want to focus on the Non Scale Victories (NSV) today because while hitting the number goal is great, it’s the brave changes in behavior and mindset that keeps the weight off in the long term.

I’m proud of myself for going out and not ordering drinks or food, which turned out to be totally fine!

What are yours???

I have made my water goal of 72 oz. plus every day for 10 days-- the first time ever in my life. Today I added additional water to my shirt and biked to a pond, swam, dried off with the shirt that I'd originally soaked (that was dry by the time I got to the pond) to wet it again and biked home-- and was happy but sweaty.

1. The scale says literally the same number, but I know I’ve lost inches because I’m wearing pants I wore pre-kids 6.5yrs ago! 2. Funny observation—my bra is looser (and I’m not sad about it bc my girls are too big and are a pain in the neck!)
3. My 6.5yo chose “cotton candy” grapes and red bell peppers on our weekly grocery run as her treat bc “she wants to have strong muscles and bones like you.” I also noticed my kids are drinking more water, too! They really do model your behaviors….

Well, went out of town and camping for the weekend- did eat a lot of veggies but also plenty of drinks and random food I don’t normally eat. It was a great weekend though! Getting on track right now on the car ride home with tons of water and more veggies…getting on the scale tomorrow morning and going to try and not let the number get me down- just got to dial things back in!

We left to camp this afternoon. It’s very hot here. I didn’t feel like eating but did. Now to stay on plan the next 3 days. I brought veggies and salads to help.

  • I'm camping and making more healthy choices than ever before. I packed tons of prewashed & precut veggies, fruit, and cooked quinoa to mix with beans, spinach, corn and tomatoes for a plate it lunch with leftover apple chicken sausage.
    Trying to get my water in too which is more challenging than I care to admit.

Whyyyyyyy can I not stick to something? I struggle so much. Eat things that don’t serve me and feel gross. I don’t lose weight because I don’t stick with it. I’m so frustrated with myself.

Awareness is queen :princess: you already know what’s not serving you so rather than focus on that how about you change the focus to what is serving you and what you’re doing right

No matter the set backs stick with it and you will get there eventually this is a learning opportunity, you have a habit loop that needs breaking that's all, what was the trigger? What can be an alternative healthy treat you can have when this trigger happens?
