just trying to keep in check! We have company coming bought I bought some salad kits that are full of cruciferous veggies for myself to eat. Logging, focusing on my water, and limiting myself to 1.5 beers when we go out! Getting in my step goal every day and ordering veggies if we go to a restaurant. No added sugars… that’s about all I can do, I think, but suggestions are always welcome!

I do a simple lemon garlic dressing- 1/2 cup evoo, juice of 1 whole lemon, 2 garlic cloves crushed, a bit of salt & pepper to taste. Mix well - lasts for about 2 weeks in the fridge. Another good one w Asian flair is equal parts (I do 1 Tbl each on a salad) sesame oil & coconut aminos w black pepper to taste.

Equal parts olive oil and balsamic, then dice up a shallot & some garlic, and fresh basil, salt, and a smidge of honey. So good!

I regularly gain 3-5 lbs. every month during and after ovulation despite exercising and following 2B. It’s super demoralizing because I feel powerless to control it and like my body is working against me. For example, I started this DietBet and lost 4.3 pounds in the first week, followed by steady gains the last three days totaling 2.7 lbs. It might go up even higher still. What can I try either physically or mentally to get through this stretch of the month?

    1/2 cup + 1tbsp almond milk
    1/4 cup cocoa
    3 tsp monk fruit sweetener
    5 drops liquid stevia
    1/2 tsp cake batter extract

    One of the hardest habits for me to break is sweets EVERY night after dinner.
    These Cuppa Cake teas have been so helpful!! No, it ain’t the real thing, but they taste (& smell) great and it helps replace the habit! Cheers!

  • Cauliflower rice with mushrooms shrimp and curry and coconut milk super tasty and filling. Saying of the day Our bodies are like a garden we need lots of sunlight, water proper soil ( food and Fibre for a gut bacteria) :)

I have adapted Ilana’s 2b mindset over this DietBet & her Mem Day one. I am loving it — feel so in control of my food choices including treats. I can eat this way forever.

This is what’s working for me: bigger breakfast & lunch according to the plan. Light dinner usually of prot & veg or small portion of a carb if it works with our dinner. I go to bed very mildly hungry & wake up feeling light & ready to start the day

I have also worked on not eating at the first twinge of hunger — trying water, distraction & then eating at the next meal time

A reminder for those who may be feeling frustrated at the scale, or those who may experience it in the future. Dont give up. I have been in a plateau for 10 days. Keep on the path you are on. Fat cells are stubborn and take a lot of water to fill up before they will release. Water helps your body metabolize fat, this is why it's so important. I woke up this morning to a 4 pound weight loss and a reminder of why I gotta keep doing what I'm doing and focusing on water, water, water. You got this, don't stop!

I’ve also been in a plateau, I go up and down daily.
I didn’t get to watch Ilana’s live yesterday, but I did just finish it and I’m applying some amazing takeaways from it to get me going again!
Especially water, and veggies (loved the idea of snacking on broccoli with some great dip while cooking! I never thought about that being an added serving of veggies before either!)
Way to go on that loss!
