Hey Mary for breakfast, I would not recommend a protein bar only, it's too few calories and breakfast should your biggest meal, it will get you through the day, and you shouldn't have so many cravings if you ate well. Try a protein with fruit or veggie. I rotate between oatmeal w/ fruit and a Greek yogurt,(sometimes throw my eggs in oatmeal, its good) or a 3 egg omelet stuffed with veggies and 2 pieces of fruit, or almond butter on fruit with greek yogurt and a side of whole wheat toast with jelly.
