Ok. I’ve had a boatload of water and tea today. I had 1/4 cup of yogurt and 1/2 cup of homemade granola. For dinner I had 1 cup of salad greens and 1/8th pound of cooked ground beef. I couldn’t do a full 24 hour fast but I went 8 hours between my two meals so like intermittent fasting.

  • The 3rd challenge is the Nutrition Challenge!

    Here is the challenge if you choose to accept:

    *Eat 5 servings a day from the vegetable/fruit group, 5 days this week.

    It can be all vegetables or any combo of both. What is a serving? For the purpose of our challenge we will use the American Heart Association definition: Vegetables: 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables (about the size of a small fist), 1/2 cup of other vegetables or 1/2 cup of vegetable juice. Fruits: 1 medium fruit (the size of a baseball); 1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit; or 1/2 cup juice.

    One suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please post at least one picture of a healthy meal you eat this week. It provides great ideas for everyone in our game! And remember to make healthy food choices in other food groups but we are not measuring those for this challenge.

    **At the end of the week I will ask you to comment under a post I will have pinned at the top of the game page. You will need to click on (comment) below that post and report in there.   • Happy Thursday! It was a beautiful morning for a run! I love starting the day with a sunrise run.

    Do you prefer working out in the morning or the evening? I like both depending on the activity. For running I prefer the morning and for Orange Theory I like to mix it up with morning and early evening.

I LOVE OTF… but I’m not a member anymore. I’d love to go back but my planet fitness membership is so much cheaper. OTF isn’t in the budget anymore. :sob: But I love walking while working at my sit/stand desk. I try to get in 3-5 miles before dinner. Otherwise on the weekends I take my dog outside for a walk in the mid morning.

  • This is a quiet group! How’s everyone doing this week? The scale has stalled for me, which I know is normal, but still frustrating. I’m staying consistent and making good choices, so I know the numbers will catch up.
    Pic of my babies (who aren’t babies) just because. My daughter lives in Germany, so this is the first time they’ve seen each other since July 2022. ❤

Please hang in there. You guys have it in you to succeed. I write what I am going to eat the night before and that's what I stick to. I haven't looked at the scale and won't until the end of the challenge. That can be mentally draining. We will see how it works out but I have faith it will.

Today I woke up and hit 17 lbs lost since January 1st.... it's unbelievable for me! I've tried things in the past and they really haven't been sustainable.

More so, I am officially "overweight" instead of "obese" per the BMI scale. (I know it's a ridiculous scale, but I'll take the win!

Went to NY today to seea Broadway show, Sweeney Todd. Walked about 2 1/2 miles throughout the course of the day. So, I consider today to have been an active rest day. Tomorrow I'll be back to my regular workouts.
