  • Today was quite a challenge for me, I woke up with a massive headache and couldn't tell whether or not it was the "Keto Flu". All I wanted to do was grab all of my son's sweet treats out of our pantry and indulge! But instead, I grabbed keto options, which didn't satisfy my sweet tooth, but they did fill me up. I finished my day with a new recipe, and it made my whole day's struggle worth it! My favorite Keto meal yet!!!! If you like Asian/Thai/peanut flavors, this recipe is a must try! I added bacon and chicken to make it more filling.
    Also if you have any fav keto meals, please let me know! I'm still looking for more Keto recipes to try!

Not sure what you would call it, but the other day I diced up zucchini and layered the bottom of a large cake pan, sprinkled with everything but the bagel and olive oil, mixed so it was evenly coated. I then layered on some cheese. On top of the cheese I put layered on diced onion, mushrooms and ground up roast beef. Baked for 25 minutes. Topped it off with provolone cheese and baked for another 25. It was delicious and I will be making it again this weekend. My husband, who isn't keto loved it as well.


Peta - it just depends on your body. I can't have artificial sweeteners every day and lose weight. And, I don't make recipes from abigmansworld because I always gain weight from them (the sweet ones anyway). So you'll just have to experiment. If you make a lot of keto treats and your weight-loss slows, then you might want to eliminate or slow them down.

Unfortunately, this may be my last post and I will not be doing Dietbets ever again. I have had steady weight loss, weighed in weekly and my account was flagged for unusual weight loss behavior. I now have to submit video weigh-ins, but I can't get them to upload as dietbet rejects them every time for a multitude of reasons. Very disappointed in the run around I have received. I hope you all continue to meet your goals. Good Luck!

When I started the game I thought “can I lose 25 pounds in 6months?. Can I do it?”.. with about a month done I lost 11.8 pounds.. before you are physically ready for the diet, you need to be mentally ready for the challenge.

I’m feeling a little discouraged because I was doing so well last week, was easily going to meet the goal, then I had one cheat meal Sunday (and also walked all over the place all day as we were doing sight seeing in the Old City of Jerusalem!) yet still gained almost 4 pounds! I wanted to say it was water weight but it hasn’t exactly melted away haha. Seems unlikely to meet my goal this month but I can’t let that drag me down and out to ruin next month!!

@Kati B. -- this is a journey, or at least that's how I look at it. There will be up's and downs and some we can pinpoint, and some aren't as clear. Let's focus on the big picture for you -- you're on an amazing trip in Israel! Been there briefly and envious of you, as I would be there in a blink if I could. Remember when traveling there's more salt in food and things that we can't control, but you're active and in the long run if you keep persevering you will achieve your goals. Enjoy your travels!

It's a daily debate for me about the artificial sweeteners, I totally understand "Next time" LOL. I prefer them over diet soda's when I need more than just coffee.

Whole fruits and veggies. Nuts are a good choice too, but I would limit those 1/4 or 1/2 cup. I've had days where my daily calories have doubled cuz nuts are so great... ok it was trail mix... but unlimited strawberries, apples, oranges, baby carrots, bananas... maybe a sandwich on whole wheat bread with humis and shredded carrots, some greens, and cucumber slices... oooh that sounds good! Then bring the rest of the hummus for your baby carrots and some fresh broccoli! Ohmigosh... uh wait a sec, I can come right?

  • I wanted to share a post with you all that I shared with a facebook fitness group I'm in with my friends. I'm working on recommitting and refocusing to be a better, healthier version of myself :)

    --I'm working on making a comeback. Things have been crazy, and my emotional and mental wellbeing have been struggling to keep up. My husband and I are working on some stuff, the cats and kittens are all taken care of, and I'm making plans for a possible career change. Burnout is so real, but I feel like we're heading toward and upswing.

    I've pushed through some roadblocks and decided to take the leap back into physical fitness this morning. I started my old favorite, and go-to, 21DFRT. I submitted my weigh in for a new dietbet starting on August 1, and also joined a transformer 😬 I won't make round 1 goal, but absolutely canNOT miss the other 5 weigh outs. My weight is the highest it's ever been and once I saw it, I thought about crying over how much I've given up and let myself go, but I updated my measurements and pressed play instead. I even talked myself out of waiting until Monday, that never works. New months and new weeks are a great idea for a start, I know me and my laziness, that gives me an excuse to make excuses.

    I know I need to do a lot of work, and need to be consistent and disciplined. I will do my best, and to paraphrase my counselor, "you are a human being not a human doing. You've got this!"

    21DFRT, Day 1, Total Body Cardio Fix: DONE!!!

I had to take a few days off from tracking due to very stressful important work stuff, but that's done now so I'm getting back on track :) also dealing with bloating due to shark week so a little worried I may not make round 1 goal but I will do my best
