I did not win. But I learned that my body does not want me any smaller than I am. I love the me I am and I'm happy with 119 pounds give or take. I have decided to embrace maintenance and stop stressing my body, there's no reason to try and over squeeze to get every last bit out. I am happy with the me I am.

I am in the same position. My body seems to like 118lbs and I have to really struggle to get lower. Not worth it. Ill stick to 118. Great Job winners. I am sad to not have a reason to be a part of these challenges anymore but happy to live life without a focus on the scale so intently.

I posted this on the other thread.

How do you handle traveling to see family ? I’m starting to think ahead so I can mentally prepare for what I want out of my trip next month. Any tips/ideas for the day of travel with kiddos in the airport and not just eating completely off plan? How about also when you are staying in someone else’s space for a week? Do you weigh yourself on vacation too? I know plan, plan, plan and probably buy lots of snackable veggies but I wanted your take on holiday travel w/ kids and staying true to your goals.

Courtney R: the tracker and the scale. Use them to prove to yourself eating is ok. Just remember that if you have not been eating, the day after you start the scale will go up just because of food now being in your gut, and salt holding water in your body. If you continue to eat, you will start to discover that a greater volume of veggies making a total greater volume of food can lead to a bigger loss than a smaller volume that barely has any veggies.

Excited to be down 1.4 pounds today. That’s 15 pounds since July. Was able to zip up and button jeans today. Yeah! Goal is to lose 8 pounds in November and 8 pounds in December. Looking forward to her next DietBet.

Had her cauliflower mashed potatoes shepherds pie this weekend. So good!

Just listened to the recording. I felt like Ilana was a fly on the wall in my life. After having kids and in my 30s trying to find clothes that fit me and made me feel good to I am that person who gains the weight 2 days later and thought well I ate that cake so it wasn’t too bad and now at 56 finally learning to take care of myself and creating a routine that benefits me mentally. I appreciate Ilanas honesty that she has stress and anxiety too. I totally agree with her in regards to social media. I can go on a soap box about it. Just know that I really appreciate you Ilana for all your hard work!! God bless you and your beautiful family

I appreciate your great wisdom and inspiring me to no end, Ilana! I’m losing my last 10-15 lbs, but it seems like I’ve been yo-yo dieting for years. When I started BB this past spring, I hit a plateau for a few weeks where I was eating 1200 calories (plus more if I worked out), but wasn’t losing anything. Then I reduced my calories to 1000 (plus more if I worked out) and started losing weight using your principles. I understand this me be too few calories. A few years ago, I tried increasing my calories to 1600 for a week (with lots of lean protein), I ended up gaining weight. Should I just assume my metabolism has slowed down? Any suggestions? Would weights help? Also can I switch my lunch and dinner meals on 2B mindset to have a bigger meal (with the fiber filled carbs) in the evening? I was brought up having a bigger meal in the evening.

Miranda- i have noticed the same thing. So many in authority say to never eat less than 1200 calories and shame us for being so anal however i cannot maintain or lose weight if i go above 1,200 cal per day with exercise. I am 5’4” and 123 lbs. and 58 years old.
