Any suggestions on what to swap for almond milk in shakes/smoothies? I know I can just use water but I still like that creamy taste and texture. I just don't want all the gums and emulsifiers in my body with the almond milk. Just wondering what you all do...

If you have a high speed blender just blend a few nuts with water before you add your other goodies. I make milk at home all the time and the only difference is straining it.

I have been in an absolute rut for the last 4 months! I have about 10 lbs to lose this month to hit my goal for this challenge 💪I can and will lose this weight because I love to be healthy! That being said.. if anyone has some good meal prep ideas for lunches, please let me know!

Something that I like to do for an easy lunch is buy the microwavable bags of cauliflower rice, and put together a burrito bowl. I use black beans as my fiber filled carb. They keeps me so full! I usually use ground turkey or lean ground beef as my protein, cilantro, lime juice, salsa, cheese or avocado, plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and salsa of course! I even like to use the frozen bags of cauliflower rice to do an Italian version. You can use grilled chicken, ground turkey, really any protein of choice and then I like to put a healthy tomato sauce over it with cheese. I will add extra veggies that will heat up well or cook as they heat like mushrooms or zucchini, spinach. I usually top it with mozzarella cheese.

I eat a salad almost everyday for lunch. It’s a quick easy way to get in a lot veggies and I make it the night before with dressing on the side so it doesn’t get soggy.

Whew, it was so hard to stay the course but I was dinner and done tonight! For dinner I ate tofu scramble with red peppers, chickpeas, spinach, and tomatoes and then a ton of roasted broccoli! I had a pineapple spindrift at the end of my meal then I was out of the kitchen!

Prepping. Meal planning. Prepping if you can. I see a HUGE difference in my week if I can actually prep meals and either be cooked ready to heat up or just to be ready to cook without having to do the prep at the time

Use the 2B mindset tracker and method


I use the My Plate app free version, though My Fitness Pal is also good. I find it easier to scan a bar code or input what I’m eating by meal. If you know you’re going to have a big dinner or meal out ahead of time though, you can put it in earlier and balance out your day.

Hello! I'm 45, mother of two, working full time... I have slowly gained 10 pounds in the last 2 years, 1-2 pounds every 2-3 months, one extra glass of wine/"healthy sweet dessert"at a time... Never got focussed/serious enough to take care of it. Procrastinating... Blaming my weight gain on many external situations... I need to be inspired by this group!
