I'm getting so frustrated with the photo upload process. I'm taking a full head to toe pic that's close up and visible but the app keeps cropping out my feet or the top of my head making my photo not be approved 😡 I'm grumpy and I want to eat dinner and drink more water but I'm afraid of weighing too much if I must resubmit.

Next time try to sleep long hours... Due to medical conditions I am not able to exercise, sometime even to walk more than 20 min, so I do like Rebekah said. A lot of water, I drink protein like smoothie (water and ice instead of milk) and I try to sleep early so I dont steal the fridge overnight. If you can delay your breakfast is good as well


Changed my clothes and a haircut literally took off 1.5lbs for me :sweat_smile:

I had a weigh in for a kickstarter on Sunday totally forgetting that there are 31 days in May and I can't reuse that weigh in for this game. I cheated. Kinda a Memorial day thing to do. I still made weigh in for this game but I gained like five pounds and I'm worried they will flag me for weight fluctuations in a small amount of time... again... like they did after Christmas... like, seriously, who doesn't gain a lot weight after Christmas???? (If you don't, we can't be friends)

5 lb doesn't seem like that much of a fluctuation. I assume you gained more than that at Christmas? :)


Women gain 5-10lbs during their cycle alone. Hormonal weight gain (across sexes) is biologically ingrained in general. An immediate high weight gain after binge eating will be "water weight" or bloating... Long term weight gain of actual fat cell storage from a poor choices tear won't be more than ~3lbs depending on body frame. So take comfort in that!

For anyone who has already reached there 10% loss, have you noticed an increase of weight due to muscle gain? I’ve reached my goal weight, but nervous that if I continue my diet/exercise regimen, I may gain muscle weight!

I wouldnt worry about muscle weight gain as it doesnt come on very quickly and you'll probably lose more fat in that time since you can lose 1 to 2lbs a week "safetly" and it takes longer to build a lb of muscle. Muscle also burns more than fat so I think it's just better to go full throttle and not worry about it.

Let us know how Noom goes! I'm a fan of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for depression, insomnia, and pain (I've done CBT-D, CBT-I, and CBT-P treatment sessions to address the myriad of issues that come with being a disabled veteran) and they were truly more helpful and long lasting than medication- after all, it's meant to be a PERMANENT change. Hearing about Noom (CBT for nutrition, basically) has really made me curious!! Sorry for the long reply, I'm just super passionate about this stuff! Anyways, can't wait to hear how it goes!

I didn’t realize it’s a $35 buy in every month. Additionally, my pay out for getting my goal weight is only around $21. How does that work if I paid in $35?

Fell off wagon…CRASHED I should say…when I work my 5-12s it throws my body and motivation on a loop…the studio I workout in just posted they’ll be closed for SEVERAL weeks due to relocation. I live in a rural area and work shift work as an RN in a hospital. What workout videos do you suggest? DIET is important and terrible. Any pros/cons on instant oats?

I have subscriptions to both Beachbody on Demand and Peloton and love them both for different reasons. Beachbody has some really great programs for all levels that vary from 4 weeks to 100 days, there are lots of varieties of teachers. Peloton I love for their live classes and it makes my treadmill time go by much faster. They also have a lot of really good yoga and stretching classes.

Overnight oats are vastly superior to instant oats. Better texture (not mushy), no sugar (fake or real), cheaper, and still has more fiber in tact (so you'll stay fuller longer).

Are you tracking your food intake? I use carbmaster app. It tracks, calories, fat, protein, and carbs plus water and exercise. I find it helpful to see exactly what I have been eating and doing and then I can make adjustments. If I am not losing, I can see if I am not drinking all my water? or am I eating too many calories or too much protein. If I have a successful week, then I can review what I did to be successful and duplicate that. Though its a tool, your body won't always release the weight when you want it to. So you have to just keep pushing forward and not get discouraged.

I'll echo that you're body is great at adapting and finding a nice resting place. You'll notice a lot of workout plans only go 6-8 weeks, and those that go longer have major variation in them. It's similar for food. You have to keep your body guessing!

Not knowing what you're doing now, check that you're getting enough calories. If your body thinks it is not getting enough, it will slow down its calorie burn and your weight loss will plateau. If that seems right, maybe adjust the macros by adding some extra carbs for a few days and then cutting them out gradually.

I'd also suggest doing an activity you haven't been. If you're into cardio, throw in some weight training. If you're into weights, do some cardio. Personally, I go to gym with a pool, and I love to swim now and then, and I feel like it's just the right kind of variety I need (mentally), and my body's strengths and weakness feel so different in the water.

At the end of the day, remember that weight is a lagging indicator that you're doing healthy activities, so - more than anything - stay the course. It WILL show up on the scale.
