Month 3!! The scale keeps going down and I keep barely missing goal lol!

I feel good about the next few months. I hadn’t worked out in years do to an injury and on Monday, I decided to mentally push through. Today makes 3-days in a row I’ve worked out. That’s actually an all time best record for me at the moment.

I don’t know why DietBet is working but it’s working better than a gym membership at the moment! I love reading everyone’s post when I need motivation to keep going.

Lost this round…. I honestly don’t know what to do to get the scale to move!!!! I am frustrated I’m tracking everything I eat, I weigh it out and use measuring cups/spoons so I know it’s accurate. I am working out A LOT. The scale just won’t move I am only 46% to round three goal so I have to majorly kick it into gear but I don’t know what gear because I feel like I am giving it my all!

I will never forget standing on the scale and bursting into tears 6 weeks into the start of this DietBet journey in 2019. I thought I was doing everything right. But then I tried low carb - but with lots of non-starchy veggies (Dr Becky Fitness on YouTube really helped) and educating myself about autophagy, intermittent fasting, working out while burning fat and not glycogen and everything changed. The book mentioned above sounds interesting because it sounds like it helps people find their unique combination of metabolic needs. Good luck and don’t give up! Everyone in this community is cheering you on!!!

By the skin of my teeth! Sadly I have to have knee surgery 3/14, not sure how my progress will continue without exercise.

But I want my baby’s HS graduation to be with a mom who fought her way back in shape after some major life setbacks!

Hormones have me fluctuating all over, hot flashes are no joke!
Here’s to a successful month 3 for all!

I tried a supplement called "chaste berry" to help with the hot flashes. It says menstrual stuff, but was amazing for my flashing & night sweats.

Good luck with your surgery! March has a lower goal percentage so that might help.

I missed the DietBet goal by 1.4 pounds however I am okay with this. I went with a workout program that lifted heavier weights for the last couple weeks Sunday will be my last day. I have lost a few pounds but mainly muscle tone 😎

  • So I haven't given up or anything, in case anyone was missing my witty posts 😆 Just busy with life and work, but...

    Have been keeping up the intermittent fasting and keeping my calorie count down. Well except for that pasta, and bottle of red, some cookies, but anyway, I digress...

    No running, but up to 1km in the pool now after some consistent training.

    Just banked Round 2 at 103.5kgs!! Woohoo!!

    Start - 112 kgs
    Current - 103.5
    Goal - 100 kgs (June)

I missed my weight in both Round 1 & 2, but have lost 7.5 lbs, and although the money is nice, the weight loss is the reason, so I’ll take it! 😉 (am now below my round 1 goal, so hope to catch up for round 3 weigh-in!)

Hope everyone is staying on track and super motivated!! I work 2 jobs so it’s been hard to engage with everyone but I hope everyone is killing it!

I use to think losing 1-2 pounds a week would never get me to my goal until I changed my perspective! Now, after 6 weeks of this, I get excited when I lose 2lbs or more at weigh-in.
