Scale jumped up this am which is a bummer but a good reminder heading into the weekend to get more veggies. I haven’t been using my tracker but making some mental notes about what I ate and why it was a problem.

On a scale of 1-10 how important is the tracker to you? Do you have to use ilana’s?

I don’t track, but seeing these comments has me considering it. Counting calories always became a chore for me and made me give up. I know tracking is different, but I’m worried it would have the same affect. I do like the idea of tracking mindset and mood and things as well to help me see what causes gains and losses.

  • I can’t believe how healthy it is and soooo tasty!
    I call it zucchini pancakes with frosting

    I eyeballed all ingredients.
    Pancakes
    1/2-3/4 c shredded zucchini (squeeze out water)
    1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
    1/3 c egg whites
    Almond flour (just enough so the batter isn’t runny, probably 1.5 Tbsp)
    Sprinkle of baking powder
    Few blueberries on each pancake

    Frosting
    1/2 c cottage cheese
    To taste: vanilla extract, butter extract, powder stevia
    Blend well.

I am getting it done! Down 6lbs since 8/2. Started at 154.4 and today I was 148.4!! I have been doing 2b on and off since 2018 after I had my daughter and my highest weight after birth was probably close to 180lbs - I am 5’3. I have been drinking all the water, eating all the veggies and protein and tracking everyday. I had 2 days where my weight stayed the same.. 150.6, 150.6 and 150.4 and then I dropped 2lbs over night! And bonus… this was mostly just food, only maybe 2-3 days of exercise consisting of walking. I am a full-time nurse, military spouse and mom to 2 pre-schoolers who is single momming it right now due to dad being away for work. Meal prepping has been key to my success. Trying really hard to stay on track and keep going. My goal is to be at least in the “healthy” range of weight, maybe somewhere in the middle of the BMI chart between 120/130lbs. Thanks ilana and this group for the motivation!!! I love the office hours and weekly calls. It’s like having my own nutritionist session twice a week! ❤

I’m wanting to try practicing gratitude, so I thought I might try to add the practice to my nightly routine & writing it here for now. So today I’m grateful for: slowing down to be with my breath; being genuinely excited to use the eggplant & tomato & all the spices for my dinner tonight; to myself for making the decision to start walking at work again. I hope everyone is starting this journey off in a way that feels right for you!

We had to move into my parents basement because of mold remediation. I can take my weight picture of the scale but I don’t have a full body mirror only a normal bathroom mirror. What should I do?

  • Taco night! To really pack the veggies i add 1/2 zucchini shredded to my taco meat before I put the seasoning on so it melds into this flavourful seamless taco meat! Even my kids don’t notice 🙌????🙌???? and budget friendly to make your meat go further!
