I’ve been eating Whole Foods, cut out alcohol, and walking over 12,000 steps a day the past 3 weeks, but have been at a stand still with the scale. I made the first 2 rounds but didn’t make it this round. I’m going to start eating a few hundred more calories each day and see if that doesn’t help. I’ve been around 1200/day and wonder if that isn’t enough.

I am so discouraged. Despite increasing water, eating healthier, and increasing my exercise and activity, I am not losing weight. I’m completely discouraged. If anyone else is where I am, know that you are not alone.

Yes. I’ve simply been stressed and super busy and didn’t prioritize myself and this program this past round so I gained. :disappointed:

I had a great month. Already hit my next two targets. A little over 2lbs left to get to the overall goal weight. Getting about 15 lbs from my lowest in about 20 years.

Can you share some of your tips and methods for success with the rest of the group? :grimacing::grin:

My main thing has been eating right. I am intermittent fasting only eating from 10AM-6PM. I also have extended dry January to as long as possible in Feb. Finally, exercising, I do a very light ride on a stationary bike in the morning for less than 20 minutes. Then I get some sort of workout in the afternoon. But mostly I have been making great calls with food. Even when I do eat meals I have been very good with stopping and not overeating.

Hey, I made it, everyone, and came in under goal a little bit, but I have to say I’m not proud of how I did it.

Confession: I only ate a banana between Friday and tonight. Drank a lot of tea, water, some kefir, even some hot cocoa, but no food.

NOT what I will do in the next rounds. Balanced, thoughtful eating is my goal through the end of this program.

For a regional leadership program, I had to go a day without food on Saturday to understand what food insecurity felt like, which was uncomfortable, but extending the experience and being hungry, crabby, and getting headaches for almost three whole days to catch up was not pleasant. Definitely not recommended. Lesson learned.

It is going to be close today. I did a couple leg days this week so I lost size and rebuilt some muscle. I was .4# off goal earlier today.

Thank you. I did fat fast Thursday to Saturday. I did coffee and lemon electrolyte water total fast until I made weight about an hour ago. Now I am back to my regular Keto-vore style diet.

Note : It was extremely discouraging and motivating because I had made weight Wednesday. That is why I celebrated Wednesday night. I learned to wait until after weigh in to celebrate now.

I’m not going to make this round either - still 2lbs away. I actually gained weight in round 1 so now that I am back to losing and forced, I should be able to pull of rounds 3-6!

And I made it but am not proud of how I did it. Pretty much starving myself for almost 3 days. That last .4 came off and then some a little bit ago. I can definitely see and feel a difference, but I’m going to do it differently this round. I’ve been salt free and am paying attention to that a lot more because of Annie and you!!!

Congrats you guys! My scale hit a plateau this last round. But like you guys I gutted it out. (Pun intended) lots of water fruits veggies and a good sweat session took the final half pound off. Not sure how to do this round differently. I stayed well within my calories, stepped up my exercise exercised and stayed away from processed foods. I'm hoping it was just a natural plateau.

I made a bet even bigger than DietBet. I bought ski pants for an awesome blue ski suit. The pants are a little tight but with 8-12 lbs off they will be perfect -like the rest of my wardrobe that also now is very tight. 7 weeks till my ski trip. Wish me luck and I wish you all the best as well.

I didn’t make this round but I am not giving up. I did lose a little and it was a tough month for weight loss. I have a new plan and think I am finally motivated enough to stick with and get all these extra pounds off (again). I’m focusing on diet and will gradually add in exercise.

I hope everyone else got off with a better start and made your goal this month. I plan to be in the winner category next round!
