Yep, Anne is correct. You can be in your birthday suit for the feet pic on the scale. And then I have to move my scale to another room, entirely, and was even told by a ref that I didn’t have to stand on it! I just have to make sure the word is visible.

So here's the thing.. still 3lbs out from my goal.. can I do it.. yes and I've basically postponed all my bday celebrations for the weekend to help ensure I do. I've lost 3 in a few days before and can do it again for this weigh range. Here's to positive choices and positive thoughts. Onward and upward gang.

I’m right there with you! Had one mediocre day last weekend and I’m still up 2 lbs when I only had .5 lb left (face palm). I’m still going to try my best, but I’m even if I don’t make the goal, Ilana’s Zoom calls are worth the $35 I paid. Good luck!

Drink that water until you feel like you're gurgling!! It's the added salt from the restaurant meal. Onward and Downward!!

Just get back on track and drink a lot of water. Don’t starve yourself to “make up for it.” Just go back on plan.

I know others have posted about this but scale went up this past week and I’m not sure why. I feel like I’ve been consistent. Frustrating but will keep marching forward.

Looks for sneaky sodium and increase your h2o if possible.. if you are using a tracker maybe post a couple pages and see if folks can help spot something you may have not thought of.

Same thing is happening with me. I have two ways I think about it.

1. Weight fluctuates. That’s normal and part of being human. If you stay consistent, it will often make a big drop. No matter what, don’t give up.

2. Sometimes you don’t need to change things up, but sometimes you DO. You can try drinking more water. Go to bed earlier. Take an extra walk? Eat dinner earlier. Make sure you are really eating “veggies most”, not just “veggies some”. If you are tracking, look at what foods gave you weight loss days before. Are you constipated? Are you eating a snack but maybe don’t really need that snack to get you to dinner?

Just a few thoughts. Hope it helps.

Quick tip for eating out. I was at a restaurant and they didn’t offer lettuce wrapped burgers because they don’t have large enough pieces of lettuce. So I asked them to bring me a burger without the bun and with a bunch of extra lettuce. I turned it into a burger salad! Plus I swapped the side of fries for an actual side salad. Super happy with my choices!

I still do not understand why more restaurants who feature burgers haven’t put a burger salad on their menu. It’s freaking delicious, and a great alternative for those what was a low carb option.

It’s so frustrating when that happens. But like Tina said, it’s at least better than gaining! Maybe your body just needs a minute to adjust. Quitting doesn’t get you closer to your goals so don’t give up! Think how many vitamins and nutrients you are getting with all the veggies you must be eating. Keep it up :heart:


We all have days/weeks with no loss. Stay positive. Increase your water even if you think you can't drink another ounce and are sloshing when you walk! It really does help and is important to overall function. I went for many months with no loss and had begun an exercise program and was getting quite discouraged because I wasn't seeing any loss on the scale - even had a gain for a while. I'm post surgery from last year - 2 knee replacements - so really needed to focus on getting stronger, which I have. Yes, I've firmed up and lost inches, but my mind said I needed to see a loss on the scale. I never stopped watching the scale and have struggled with every single pound I've lost, but had a HUGE surprise the other day. My Fitbit told me I've lost 29 lbs since last summer. I knew I was down some, but was truly surprised to see the 29 lb mark. I have MANY days where there is NO MOVEMENT on the scale or a 0.1 or 0.2 loss. Yes, you have to accept even these minimal losses as eventually they do add up. You may not like it or be happy with it, but accept it, stay positive, stay focused and keep on going. Onward and Downward you must go. It has to become a lifestyle change and a habit to pick the "healthy" foods. Nothing should be off limits. You have to choose what you truly want/desire and make it work in your food plan. The chocolate bar or to see the scale go down. It's a struggle for all of us. Will it get easier? It may or it may not. All depends on our attitude and acceptance. Good luck. Stay focused and keep going forward. ❤️
