For those who’ve done this in the past and won, how much money did you win?

My biggest payout was $53 and change but I only joined that game because it was so huge and I didn’t find it as supportive as Molly’s bets or fat girl fed up

This morning I did 1 hour of hydrotherapy. For me this is a routine alternating between warming up and stretching in the jacuzzi and exercising in the pool, capped off with 10 minutes in the sauna. I'm lucky enough to be able to book 1 hour a week. It helps a lot with pain but wipes me out.
I had an egg sandwich and coffee for breakfast. I'll probably rest a while and then I have a walk planned for later. I have to pop something in the mail so, no excuses! Once i'm already out I tend to walk longer than I planned.

It's part of my rehab program.

You can look up hydrotherapy physio and see if it is available near you.

  • My motivation is my body last year! I've gained 40lbs since then but I'm ready to get back and finally make this a lasting change. What is your guys motivation for this challenge?

  • I’ve always taken pictures of my body when I’m at my goal weight because I fluctuate a lot and when I do these dietbets I refer back to those pictures. It’s the only thing that’s ever worked to keep me going!

  • This was me at the end of my last winning diet bet! I’ve never before gotten to a place to be my own motivation and it feels good. I’ve been there before and I can get there again!

  • Chicken stir fry on the go for dinner. It's hard for me to cook a full meal from scratch, so every week I turn on the oven and throw stuff in whole to pre-cook. Chicken, baked yams and sometimes potatoes, squash, carrots etc I started using a lot of frozen veggies during lock down, but found it a lot easier on my back to not have to chop a lot.

Looks great !

Great idea! I should do that. Pre-cooked then throw in as stir fry at dinner. Thanks!

Been a while since I've done a dietbet. I gained 4.5 lbs over the last 6 months. It isn't much but it's been so hard to lose. I've maintained an 80 lb loss for 10 years and normally I could kick a 4 or 5 lbs gain pretty easily.

Unfortunately, my physical condition has deteriorated due to an illness and my mobility is currently very limited. This is hard to come to terms with. I'm 37 and up until a year ago, I led a very active life. I had a high paced physical job that I commuted to on foot, practiced yoga 4 or 5 times a week, in addition to other seasonal outdoor activities.

I've been on disability, and quite isolated, since mid 2019. The pandemic, naturally, only deepened my isolation and at this point I only see my mom and my husband regularly. I have reached a point where I have very little determination. I'm burnt out on rehab. I'm lonely, dealing with depression and anxiety, coming to terms with my illness and physical limitations. I need this to focus on and I really need a WIN! Ok, this is an essay at this point.

My plan is to track calories and walk, even if I have to walk slowly, i'll walk every day.
