  • Happy Set-up Sunday! This week’s meal prep of 16 meals was approximately $39 and took a little less than 1.5 hours of working time.

?Pot Roast with Grandma’s Scalloped Potatoes (4)
?Protein Spaghetti with Meat sauce (with hidden veggie!) (6)
?Chicken & Gravy with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans (6)

Pot Roast with Grandma’s Scalloped Potatoes: And yes, I have permission to post this recipe lol! In a crockpot add a roast, 1 pack of onion soup mix, and 1/2 cup of water. Cook on low for 6-7 hours. Peel and slice 5-6 medium regular potatoes. In a large, bake-able, and greased dish place a layer of potatoes then sprinkle with salt/pepper/diced onion and a layer of sliced velveeta cheese. Continue to layer until you run out of potatoes. Then add mixture of 1 cup warmed non-fat milk and 4tbsp light melted butter over the top. Then place a thin layer cheese and then butter on top. Bake uncovered for an hour and a half. Then stir up all together.

Spaghetti with Meat sauce (with hidden veggie!):Cook 14.5oz pasta (I use the yellow box Barille Protein pasta) to your liking. Brown 1 lb of ground beef. While doing so steam 1 bag of cauliflower rice (we like to add veggies that we don’t notice, any chance we can get!). Once meat is browned, add in cauliflower and 2-3 jars of your favorite sauce (we love the Tomato, onion, and garlic). Let sauce simmer for about 5 minutes. Mix with noodles and then top with parmesan.

Chicken & Gravy with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans: Combine 1 cream of chicken soup, 2 packets brown gravy mixes, 2 cups water, and pepper to taste into slow cooker and whisk until fully combined. Add 2 lbs of chicken breast. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours. I use my kitchen aid to shred the chicken after fully cooked (pro-tip!). Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or whatever your like!

I finally got a surgery date for the 20th. I’m worried about losing weight by just watching my eating and not being able to exercise. I tried some gentle yoga and some chair exercises and caused a lot of discomfort from the urethra stint. I won’t be able to do much the two weeks after surgery either. Drinking lots of water and maintaining a calorie deficit everyday but don’t think it will be enough 😖. Update: just weighed and I’m down 3 lbs (and at 10:30 PM!). So the eating well and cutting out snacking is working!

As others have said diet is the most important part. Just concentrating grate on your recovery and eating well. Hope it goes smoothly

Dear, after surgery your body needs all power you got for healing. I expierenced it like that. Don't worry thats the biggest workout ever. So eat healthy, regulary, no deficits and just hold and support yourself for a while. Best wishes!

It's saying that It couldn't accept my full body picture cause my face was obscure, so its asking me to weigh in again. I've already lost weight! Will the weight loss not be counted?

You're better off contacting Dietbet rather than asking here :)

If you have your scale pic saved, submit that and just do a new full body pic standing on the scale. So still type in the previous weight.

My WHY: One of my biggest why's is to be able to do simple things like taking a shower without being out a breath. I think it's important, whenever you feel like working on your health is too hard, to think about what would be hard if you quit.
There is always a hard. Hard to lose weight. Or hard to breath. Hard to exercise, or hard to get out of bed.
We have to choose our hard ❣️

I love this way of looking at it! Yes, it’s hard work to get into better health, but it’s also hard work living daily life being overweight.

That’s one of my whys! I’m out of breath for the smallest reasons, and I’m only 20! Time to get myself together and live my life to the fullest! It’s hard to lose the weight, but it’s harder to live life overweight.

Still trying to workout every day in some way but listening to my painful back that I’ve been getting physical therapy for and doing something low intensity today. Here’s your reminder that your workout can be anything, it doesn’t have to be super intense!

I'm such a wreck atm I could do much but walk. That really helps too - when i started I had to sit down every 10 mins, now I can keep going for a couple of hours. It all helps

Laura M.

I do yoga, if I need something specific I find a video on YouTube like 'yoga back pain' and something perfect will come up! Also walking!
