Third time's the charm! Finally met my goal on my third DietBet. Feeling super proud. 😁 I really want to make sure I don't backslide. Hope everyone feels like they've made some progress! Any successes to share?

Sleeping better! One of my biggest struggles is eating before bed, but I’ve been IF which has been really helping me to fight that urge. And big surprise - not going to sleep on a full stomach makes sleep easier and more comfortable! Lol. Go figure.

Dorothy M.

Love that, Lori!! Sleep is so important for overall health and well-being. I've noticed increased muscle tone, even more than weight loss on the scale. I feel like I look better even though I'm still 28 lbs from my long-term goal.

I was using an indoor walking pad, but it was faulty and I had to return it. Pretty disappointed, especially because I don’t love walking outside for exercise. Because of my size I get really uncomfortable and self-conscious. Trying to get into a video series of low-impact indoor walking routines, but it’s still a struggle. I want this to work! I know I’m not lazy, but the willpower is lacking.

Lori, I hate to hear that you don't like walking outside because you feel self-concious, but I do understand the feeling of not liking to work out in front of people. I've always loved work out videos on you tube. Check out yoga with Adriene. She's very compassionate and has tons of content. You are a beautiful person worthy of achieving your goals. :grinning:

  • Back again for round 2! Feeling pretty good after having success last month with my first DietBet in a long time, but definitely falling prey to the “I’ve got plenty of time” mentality and I’ve been backsliding a bit too much in the past few days. But like one weight watchers leader once told me - if you fall down a step or two you don’t pick yourself up and throw yourself down the rest of the stairs! So I’m picking myself up and trying to head back UP in the right direction! (Or DOWN, if we’re talking the # on the scale 😅). I did it once, I can do it again! One step, one bite, one day at a time! 💪💪💪

Good for you for already having one successful DietBet down! That's a huge accomplishment (I'm hoping my third one's the charm! :joy:). You've got this! I'm going to rememver your "don't throw yourself down the stairs" mantra! Something a health coach told me is, "if hunger isn't the problem, food's not the answer."

  • Hi!
I'm so glad you're part of this awesome group. Some of you are beginning your weight loss journey, some are nearing the end, or maybe you're somewhere in the middle. Most likely you have a number in mind as your ultimate goal weight! But, no matter how close you are to that, a plan to succeed is so beneficial. My challenge for you is share your plan to re-inspire yourself and others, or sit down and form a plan if you haven't yet. If you're at the beginning think of just one thing you can do today to make yourself healthier as a starting point, no matter how small. That success will propel you forward. Think small goals that will lead you to your big goals! And just for fun let us know where you're from. I'm in Southern UT!

Let's get going, and have a great game!

I'm beginning my journey. I'm focusing on logging my food, and upping my water this week.

Dorothy M.

Hello from Minnesota. I signed up for workouts in a hot yoga box 6 days a week and finally cut out the daily ice cream. I'd like to start logging food next to see where I can improve.
