  • Happy Monday! Welcome everyone! It's day 1 and we are here to crush our goals! If you haven't already, please introduce yourself and let us know how you heard about DietBet and how many games you've played! :)

    This time in January works well for me to re-evaluate what I may have been aiming for in terms of resolutions, and figuring out a way to make that work as new challenges crop up and motivation lessens a bit. But I welcome this time - it's a perfect opportunity to make more sustainable changes!

    Have you made any adjustments to your resolutions or goals? What are you going to focus on during this game?

Hello! I'm a 39 year old mom of 4 and work as a paraeducator at a high school. I've played 18 games over the last 11 years and through 3 of my babies and won most of them. I'm 5'6", at my heaviest nonpregnant weight I was 240, and my lowest weight was 153. I'm back up to around 171 after starting a new job that took my focus away and caused me to stress eat. I'm feeling more adjusted and ready to get back on track with my diet and exercise. Dietbet helps hold me accountable, so I'm back again! I utilize calorie counting and weighing a lot of my food so I'm not guessing on portions, limiting sugar and white flour, increasing protein, lifting weights, and walking hills.

Thanks to everyone for sharing! It's great to see some long-time players and newer ones in the mix too!

I've played too many games to count and had my share of losses. However, I was down 125 lbs at one point. I have had a bit of regain and would like to lose some of that. I try to focus on small things or small goals so I have 'easy wins' along the way.
