Just wanted to share some thoughts for anyone who fell short this round. I HAVE NOT HIT A SINGLE WEIGHT LOSS GOAL IN THE CHALLENGE! Today, I missed the Round 4 goal by one freaking pound and it was frustrating, but...

I am over 20lbs down! I've lost a total of 13 inches and, most importantly, I have stayed consistent and focused on my diet and exercise goals, my back pain is better, I feel better about myself, I want sledding with my kids and didn't have to sit on the sideline and watch!

Sure it would have been great to win the round, but I am winning because I am transforming into a better version of myself. The name of the game is progress. As long as you stay committed and continue to move forward, count that as a win. I'm going to count this loss as a win and I'm looking forward to crushing it and actually hitting the goal the last two rounds.

Doing so dismally bad. Why, oh why did I do another diet bet during this hard season! I keep losing and gaining and losing again, but never where I need to be. I found a picture from a year ago and almost 30 lbs less than I weigh now. That's where I want to go back to. I exercise vigorously 6 days a week. I don't eat sugar. I avoid gluten. I intermitent fast. What's left? I guess I need to move to super small portions of low fat foods. Very discouraging.

I completely lost sight of my weight loss goals this month but at least I had fun with my kids... Going to try to reboot and see what I can accomplish for these next 4 months...

Also, I just decided to take my measurements for the first time in years as another way to track my progress and nearly had a panic attack at some of the numbers. I had to keep repeating to myself: "this is just a number. It's just more information. I am the same person I was before I got out this tape measure. I'm okay. It's just information... It's just information". Hopefully when I take out the tape measure again in 2 weeks I'll be celebrating instead of talking myself down 😅

Measurements sometimes are better indicators of progress—but as you correctly noted, its just information. You decide what to do with it!

Especially if you are doing any strength training, definitely measure! I once lost NO pounds but DID lose over 10 inches after some consistent workout out with weights.

For those of you in the same boat as I am (bad diet in the past week has put this month’s goal weight out of reach) - do not throw all your hard work this past month away. You still have 4 days to do better.
Even if I can’t reach my goal, I’m going to try to get as close as I can to give me a better chance of getting my goal for next month!
I have a wedding today and other holiday festivities so I will partake a bit but not over eat or over drink. Exercise will definitely be increased. Past New Year’s Day has always been “ugh, I need to lose weight.” This year will be “ooh, I lost some weight. Let’s keep it going!”

I’m not going to reach my goal this month either. I’ve maintained from my previous goal but can’t seem to push through the plateau I’ve been on. Gonna keep pushing though.


Thank you! I needed this. I was beating myself up all week but I’m battling some female health issues that’s really making me bloat and I know I can catch up again next month.

Didn’t quite make my first goal (which I thought would be pretty easy - ha!). I guess I forgot how much I love eating ALLLL the Thanksgiving food for days - but am moving on and feeling motivated to kill it in round #2!
