  • Warmer weather is here for many of us, and I don't know about you, but it always makes me long a bit more for fun ways to get in my movement.

    Here are some easy suggestions, but I would love to see what you do to perk up your routine.

  • I started this journey March 1st at 225lbs doing keto. I lost 10lbs the first two weeks then stopped for 3 weeks. I got more drastic with a 5% carb, 70% fat and 25% protein diet. I lost 7lbs in 3 days then nothing again. I added intermittent fasting and the scale still didn't move. My friends said I'm exercising too much and Keto likes a more easy thing like walking.

    So I went back to doing what I know my body likes, lowered my fat intake and increased my working out. Breakfast - oatmeal, swerve brown sugar and blueberries, lunch - salads and dinner - chicken or a small piece of steak and veggies. If I need a snack or something sweet, I take a tablespoon of 100% peanuts peanutbutter with Lilly's sugar free chocolate chips. In the mornings, I go to the gym and take a weight/abs class 2x a week, water aerobics 2x a week, the other 3 days I ride my bike 8-10 miles. I take my dog out for a brisk pace 1 mile walk after dinner. Doing all of this and of course getting my water in. I really enjoy Hint water. If you haven't tried it, it's a game changer.

    The scale is moving!!! I'm 1lb away from my weigh in goal. I have a personal goal of losing 50lbs by July 17th and I'm just about half way there.
