If I forgot to do an official weigh-in for round 4 am I disqualified or can I continue to round 5?

You keep on going, but you have to be down at least 6% and submit a verified weigh-in at the end of round 5 to be eligible to share in the huge round 6 pot at the end. So next weigh-in IS REQUIRED! A lot of people forgot this weigh-in, so put the next one on a calendar somewhere since it's so important to the big payday at the end!

Thanks for the info! I put the weigh in for June in my calendar!!

  • Hello, everybody...my name is Keith, and I'm a Diet Pepsi-aholic (everybody else - "Hi, Keith"). Too much of my daily liquid intake is in the form of this dark liquid gold, and I need to change that.

So my pledge this month is to have ONE Diet Pepsi per day (will probably start out with it like everyone else's morning coffee) and then drink water the rest of the day. It will be flavored water of some sort, but it won't contain caffeine or be loaded with artificial sweeteners.

This is the one area where my healthy living plan is lacking. I intend to correct it as my goal for this month. I'm posting this in my other Transformer as well, so I can be accountable in both games.

Now, if I could only find one this big for my one-a-day, only in Diet.....

Hi Keith! My name is Meg and I used to LOVE Diet Coke but gave it up for good 2 years ago. That was my caffeine as I don’t drink coffee. I grew up on diet soda because that’s what my parents bought and I never liked regular soda. Diet soda is basically like putting formaldehyde in your body. I was so happy to kick that habit and now I mainly drink water during the day. Love the Pepsi silo, but time to break-up :broken_heart:
I believe in you.

Cindy

This is me with coffee... so hard! I have gone without coffee for 2 or 3 weeks, but when I try to introduce it in moderation, I fail. I would say “only 1 a day” or “4 per week”, but once I have one, I crave more. All the best with your goal, I hope you accomplish it (because indeed soda is no good...)

  • I'm below weight for the final month goal of this Transformer, but I'm struggling to get down for a Kickstarter that ends Wednesday. So healthy meals, smaller portions, and hopefully back to the exercise effort I had going. I think tonight's grilled chicken and roasted asparagus is only 496, and I'm pleasantly filled. There was chicken left over - it will make a healthy lunch for tomorrow!

Mindfulness at work! Now to cut out the snacks between meals - just have to stay busy!

  • Started my first Dietbet after Thanksgiving and joined this the transformer challenge soon after. Helps a ton that my husband is on the same page.

Tips I owe to my success so far, drinking about 20 oz water before eating or snacking on anything, intermittent fasting, juice cleanse, eating veggies first, then protein (w/ protein powder as a supplement), then fruits, then everything else and lastly Insanity DVDs and weight lifting (learning to lift heavier each time).

Posting for accountability: I've slipped up 3/7 days in the past week by eating over my calorie budget, after reaching my lowest weight so far last week. 😢
Today that changes, though! I'm building my motivation back up. I did my workout this morning, have my to-do list ready for the day, and I'm going to make mindful choices when it comes to eating. I'm back on track and not letting a few bad days ruin 2+ months of good ones! ❤ Happy Monday!

I've done the same thing this weekend, but there's nothing we can do about that now. It's in the past. What matters is what we do tomorrow!

Nicole L.

Same! Everyone is feeling it! We will get back on track!

  • I didn’t win the January or February bet but I decided during January that I would primarily focus on building muscle and reshaping my body, choosing the slow and steady approach and hoping for the best!

Clothes I stopped being able to wear were fitting again but the scale was making tiny changes each week! I then changed my mindset that it was no longer about winning each month but investing $35 to remain consistent with my goal!

Then yesterday, I stepped on the scale and saw that I broke into the 160s again! I haven’t seen that number since 4 babies ago and I can barely contain my excitement!

So to all of you who are making good choices, being consistent and not taking drastic unsustainable measures to lose weight, whether the scale is cooperating or not, remember it is all an investment to consistency and consistency brings results eventually! Stay encouraged!

I am sorry Regina this sucks. Something similar happened to me but luckily I still had time to reach my goal again. And Heather this is such a fantastic piece of advice, will definitely do that next month!

Mary S.

Ouch! I know that right after I submitted my weigh in, I gulped down a glass of water and dove into my lunch! I would have been in the same boat. Sorry!

Hello so I started a workout programme with les mills called game changer challenge and although I’ve made weigh in it’s meant that I didn’t lose much of anything this week, my scales say I’ve lost 2lb of fat and gained 1.7lb of muscle I’ve also lost 2inches this week so while I’m pleased that isn’t gonna help me hit match weigh in... if I keep going will I start to lose more fat than gained muscle!?? Thanks x

Muscle does not actually build that fast. Don't always believe scales, they are an estimate. I did a lot of research a while back and it actually takes about a month to gain 1 lb of muscle for women and 1 to 2 lb for men.

Jo

Hmmm I did lose two inches though from my abdomen which makes me believe my body composition must have changed within somehow

  • Super embarrassed to post this photo.. but here's a 4 month difference!

    - December I made the decision to start exercising regularly. Didn't lose much weight, I was mainly running and establishing my activity levels —not my eating habits yet.

    - January, I injured my achilles from pushing my body too hard too fast and began keto.

    - February, I got a pretty solid workout routine going + keto then hurt my foot (totally freak accident —wrong place, wrong time). Also began intermittent fasting and feeling AWESOME with that schedule.

I'm down almost 30 lbs from when I began in December and very happy for that despite these minor setbacks. I approached this with a mindset to be strong and disciplined, no matter the challenges life throws at me.

A win is a win in my book. Congrats on making the goal this month Jessica. Looking back I think we all can see areas where we could have done better.
