Congrats to everyone who won. I sadly did not meet my goal (again) but I’m not going to let it get me down. The accountability that this game provides is well worth the entry fee. I only lost 31% of my goal but without DietBet I probably would’ve gained weight. Easter really messed me up. I resisted my favorite candy all the way to the day before then had a hard time getting back on track. I’m back on course now and am looking forward to the next game. Keep on keeping on!

Hey Trixi! I didn't meet the goal over (I was 3 lbs away) but you're right, things could have been WAY worse and the accountability makes it sooo worth it. Luckily with our next game it will be in between holidays (instead of landing during one), so that's a win. :) Hope to see you in the next one! https://www.dietbet.com/games/127252/activity

I made this one, but some I didn't. I never didn't lose weight though, so all is good.

  • WATER CHALLENGE! You guys know that I am an advocate for not drinking your calories and drinking your water! Water has personally helped me so much with my weight loss and now I want to challenge you to drink more water! Water has so many benefits including keeping you full, boosting metabolism, & more! I aim to drink a gallon a day but even increasing your water by a glass could help! Its recommended 8 a day so let us know how you are increasing your water goals or when you hit them below! It's a great week to have a great week!

I spend most of my summers in a tropical super humid town where stay hydrated is a must, so I'm so used to drink a lot of water and actually I had to go down because I move from a all year spring city to the desert and the first summer it was a shock for my body and I didnt knew better, I was drinking around 3 gallons, so now I know, I was just flushing my electrolytes and I was always nauseous with headaches... I move to a different desert lol but now I know how to balance water and salts :) and yes, I'm a huge fan of water, I like to drink water before, during and after every meal, some people let the water for the end, I cant :p I think my average is 1 gallon, or if it's hot 2 ;)

Well... this morning I was 1.9lbs away from goal
Tonight, hubby talked me into pizza. Y'all, I ate my weight in pizza. To the point I've wanted to vomit for the last 3 hours because I'm so uncomfortable. It hurts. And I'm trying to convince myself that I wont gain 10 pounds from eating like shit this one night. But holy crap, I feel like death made over. Tomorrow. I bet I'll be up, but I know it's not fat. Probably water weight, bloating, and leftover undigested pizza, lol. Someone send help

Tell hubby he needs to support you! My teens try to talk me into getting food I don’t want sometimes but these days if they order pizza I order a salad.

Drink plenty of water to flush out. Have in there. You got this

  • I love that dietbet forces us to take pictures, but I’m feeling defeated today. There is a 25 lb difference between these 2 pictures and I don’t see any difference at all. So disheartening. I feel great, but when will the results start to show?? 😩

Your boobs are smaller and there’s more definition in your shoulders. You look less bloated and are standing taller. Keep going!

Alison W.

I see it. Your neck is defined your arms are thinner. Your clothes are baggy. Keep it up.

  • So you went a little overboard this Easter weekend & the scale is up & you are feeling guilty. Here’s what to do about it!

STOP THINKING ABOUT IT & MOVE FORWARD! What’s done is done. There is literally nothing you can do to change the past. But what you CAN do is get back on track NOW...TODAY. Go chug some water right now. Seriously. Then, tell yourself that the food yesterday was great & you enjoyed it, but now you’re ready to FUEL your body, not just feed it. If you had some candy, your cravings are going to suck today. BE STRONG. Be mentally prepared to tell yourself no. You DON’T need a piece of chocolate just to scratch the itch. Make some delicious grilled chicken & a veggie for dinner. Go take a 30 minute walk or stand during your lunch break. Do anything to make yourself feel strong & in control. Don’t let your spiked blood sugar level win!!! We are at the halfway point of this challenge & now is the time to get re-focused & PUSH. You can do this!

Leave a comment below letting me know how you’re feeling after this weekend. Did you cheat? Did you stay on track? What do you plan to do if you went a little overboard? A winner will be chosen at random & will win a $25 Amazon gift card! Winner will be announced on Friday!

I didn’t go overboard that weekend however I ate unhealthy. I ate nothing with nutrients Sunday. I didn’t even have real food just junk. But not a lot of junk. However junk is junk and it was unhealthy. I’m back on track and have 0.01 pounds to lose to hit my goal!

I stayed in track! Easter Sunday was food prep day for the week! Just a couple pounds to hit my goal!!

So, I am not going to be meeting the goal this time around- I am only 1kg down from the date (though my weight fluctuated throughout), but it is not really a surprise. I have been busy and stressed, and like always in those situations did not take very good care of myself (emotional eating, lack of exercise, poor sleep, etc...) This was my first DietBet, but it won't be my last!

I want to say that I really enjoyed the positive support and competitive aspect that this platform offers. I has been really encouraging to see people's updates, struggles, and general thoughts. It has been great to hear people's stories, and to be able to support each other on our health journeys. Best of luck to everyone- congrats to those have have meet their goals, and congrats to those of us who may have not, but still made some positive steps forward.

  • Good morning ! Let’s start the morning off with a quick mini workout (one of my faves that you can do even if you’re still in bed!) and then finish with a chug!

-10 crunches (chest up and chin OFF the chest)
-10 heel touches ! (Shoulders off the ground)
(As always repeat this circuit 1,2, or 3 times - push yourself and remember your only competition is you).

After you are done grab your water bottle or fill up a glass and chug a nice big drink of WATER. Let’s have a great day - 5 full days until weigh in (21st and 22nd).

I’m so FRUSTRATED! I met my goal weight on Saturday, and since then I am gaining again (half back at my starting weight again)😭 I did not change anything in my diet.....I eat hardly any carbs, maybe I need to increase my carb intake? I guess I could drink a little bit more water (right now approx.3L a day)......Anybody with a similar experience who can give me any hope?

Same, hit goal weight, went off for one day and put on three pounds. Three days later still trying to lose it! Ugh

Update: I did drink at least 4L yesterday, my workout consisted of gett up and going to the bathroom like a 100times -day ans night- lol. Anyway, it helped a little! Scale went down.....not sure yet whether its enough to win the bet, but honestly I am just glad that I see some progress again and I hope its not just temporary.....
