Eat lots of soup. It’s so good for your cold and will help with the weight loss too. It’s normal to get discouraged when you don’t feel well. I sure hope you are able to bounce back soon my friend!

I hope you feel better soon!

  • Hi Team! Happy first Monday of 2020 I hope you all kicked it off with a bang and hopefully a workout. Personally it's my rest day :) I have been pushing extremely hard since x-mas through when our game started and need a quick re-charge. Not only that BUT I do find my food doesn't go as off track if I keep my rest days during the week vs the weekend.. anyone else? I try and workout both Saturday and Sunday most weeks. One of my resolutions this year is to focus more on food and not so much time in the gym. Over these last 4 years I have been very dedicated and of course it has paid off but I know there will be a time when I cant workout 6 days a week, life will change and I want to know that me not being in the gym everyday doesn't mean I cant lose or maintain my weight. The scale was down a bit this morning and I'm drinking my gallon of water :)

Last post someone asked my calorie intake and honestly it varies but I would say I'm anywhere between 1300-1600 a day and under 130g of carbs (sometimes more if I have a hard workout) I do my best to eat only when I'm hungry which is something I never did before, during the week with my job it's simple for me to stay on track and in deficit, I'm always busy and don't have time to sit around and think about food like on the weekends. A set schedule always helps me.

    Todays eats so far

Breakfast : 3 scrambled eggs & bacon for breakfast
Lunch : 2 portions of Chicken salad (premade from Costco) not my favorite w/ skinny popcorn cakes (my fav) If you are a big rice cake fan you would love the popcorn cakes they are almost identical in macros FYI next time you are at the grocery store look for them.
Dinner : I put a pot roast in the slow cooker before I left for work, I'll share how it comes out when I get home tonight. We will do a veggie and most likely cauliflower rice.
Also i'll have either a built bar or the Breyers Carb Smart ice cream

I’m meal prepping for this week lemon chicken and cauliflower rice but I feel like I need something else with that to eat. Any suggestions? I’m watching my calorie intake for this challenge.

Something green

I would do oven roasted broccoli! Garlic salt & pepper and avo oil in the oven on 350 for 30 mins!

What are your thoughts about an Apple Watch vs FitBit?

I love my Apple Watch. If you have an iPhone it’s worth buying an integrated product.

I loved my Fitbit for years, for activity and sleep tracking. And food tracking, cycle tracking. I had the charge HR. I decided to get an Apple Watch last fall, I’m still getting used to the change. Found my fitness pal app works pretty good. I’m still learning. I really miss my fitbit with the app and battery life. I won’t be going back though. I do like the other features of a mini phone on my wrist.

Hi. I’m a single mom to a teenage boy, I’m also a night shift nurse. I started DietBet a couple years ago, did well for a couple games, then lost one and gave up. I wasn’t in the right place in my head to make a permanent change. I have a fair amount of daily stress being a mom, working night shift at a hospital and the biggest stress, the EX. I find comfort in food, especially tasty junk food. I wasn’t very active for a long time either. Last June something switched in my brain. I started tracking my food, in September I re-joined the gym I love and started a transformer DietBet. In November my son had some bloodwork showing him at risk for diabetes. Now we’re both in a routine of eating better, being more active and losing weight. We didn’t plan on him losing weight at this point, but he did just by watching carbs per his nutritionist. I started to slow down my progress over the holidays and with 2 rounds left to the transformer, I thought a kickstarter would give me the push to keep the momentum and be proud of myself in the new year. I’ve lost almost 26 pounds since I started to find my way. I still have a long way to go, but I know I can do it. Slow but steady wins the race, right?!

  • Back at work today!! Water and electrolytes to kick off some strict IF (intermittent fasting) which always helps me get back on track.

Let’s talk IF - who’s a fan? I usually do 16:8 which means I fast for 16 hours and eat all of my daily calories 1400 or so in an 8 hour window. If you’ve never heard of IF please check into it theres plenty of great info on YouTube which is where I learned everything from!! It can take some getting used to and should be eased into but it’s pretty easy for me since I work 8-4:30 I can easily skip breakfast since I’m so busy at work and eat my first meal at 12 pm and I don’t eat after 8 PM!

I did IF religiously at the beginning of 2019 and kinda fell off but it’s a great tool if you have the self discipline to follow through and look forward to getting back to it. I will say weekends are harder lol like everything.. weekends bring a more relaxed schedule but keeping the faith as always!!

  • I am starting off with my Isagenix. Tried this in 2018 lost almost 50 pounds but sadly 2018 was going to throw me a curve ball moved out of a non existent relationship several surgeries a car accident a couple of scares with my remission and all the weight piled back on. My daughter suggested we join so I did now we can encourage each other and be inspired by all who are on this journey. My goal isn't to be a super model my goal is simply to be a super me.
