I'm not close enough to my goal to win this round but I am having non scale victories. My relationship with food feels so much healthier. I really only eat when I'm hungry not when I'm bored or stressed anymore. Also, I've been gaining muscle and things like going up the stairs is much easier. I feel more fit. Ultimately, even though weight wise I'm not doing the best I'm happy. I would rather spend money on dietbet than money at the doctor's office. What non scale victories are you guys experiencing?

I am also not seeing much movement on the scale. I’m staying consistent and hopefully will lose the weight with time and consistency. We’ve got this! My NSV this week was being able to squat 5 sets of 5 reps at 135 pounds.

I’m there with you-I had pizza last night (twice the amount I told myself I could have), but today is a new day. I bought some premade salads at the grocery store and I’ve been making kale smoothies daily, so I’m mostly in the right track, but it’s taking me a while to really get disciplined.

I’ve been listening to The Happiness Lab podcast, and I love it. They say mediation really helps stress-as does taking deep breaths. I need to try meditation more-I just am not good at it on my own. My husband teaches psychology and says mindfulness is very good for stress-but he doesn’t practice it. Best of luck!

Help please! What do you do for motivation to work out? I feel overwhelmed with teaching 5th grade right now, juggling my family, and trying to lose weight. This is the heaviest I have ever been, and I worry if I don't lose weight now then I will only get worse. This may sound silly, but I feel alone in my struggles. 😩

One thing that has been an ah-ha moment for me is learning that you can't out exercise the food you eat. Meaning, it's ok to go slow on the exercise front if you focus on cleaning up the quality & quantity of food getting eaten.
