  • Ended up ordering Chinese when we had snow earlier this week and the sodium totally put me back up... last night I decided my brother can eat the rest of the leftovers and so I made spaghetti squash with some leftover roasted red pepper sauce, meatballs, and garlic bread. In proud of myself for sticking to two normal sized pieces... normally (or I guess used to) eat the whole loaf...

  • Went outside to play in the snow since we don't get it very often... dude making a snowman left me outta breath... bending over, squatting, moving larger amounts around around my yard... it was a workout... ended up making Oggie-boogie

  • I live in Everett, WA (north of Seattle), we don't usually get a ton of snow... Anyway I called out of work because I'm not super comfortable driving in snow and no one here knows how to either... so I ended up getting bundled up like a puffy traffic cone and combined my caffine addiction with exercise and walked 40 mins (round trip) to get coffee this morning... Best investment ever is the hot hands hand warmers... I put them in my socks/leggings so my ankle doesn't ache so badly in the cold (I broke it in two places a year and a half ago and it aches badly in the cold) . Got back from my walk and my neighbors had shoveled the walkway/steps ❤

    I also noticed the jacket fits a lot looser than last winter =) still look like a puffed up traffic cone but I picked it because it would be seen in the dark so... *shrugs*

I should have gone to bed a few hours ago... did really good with dinner, got chicken and broccoli from teriyaki place and substituted salad for the rice. Ended up eating half and being full. Put the rest away for lunch tmr instead of eating the whole thing which is what I used to do... but now it's about 5 hours after I ate dinner and I'm hungry and watching Nadiya Bakes and its a bunch of cakes and stuff and I'm getting hungry... and I'm still gonna be good and go to bed after this episode but lesson learned... gonna have a glass of water and call it good =/

Same thing happened to me last night! I mean I wasnt watching baking shows but yeah night snacking is no substitue for sleep, but our bodies think it is


Sometimes I literally just have to brush my teeth and go to bed. I’ll scroll around on my phone in the dark if I’m not tired yet lol.

Been feeling kinda down most of the day, if today had a mood it would be "Cat". I just wanted to curl up on the couch and not deal with people today. I work customer service and that's not an option. I still made sure to be friendly and help people as much as I could but I was counting down to when I got off... finally did and came home to snackcrate chocolates...decided to do some low impact aerobics and I'm actually feeling slightly better for having exercised

Soooo I may have just sabotaged myself... I bought my brother a Snackcrate subscription (they send treats from different countries around the world each month) anyway they had a deal for different chocolates from around the world... I bought like 20+ different candy bars... =|

oh well guess I can strengthen my will power while I'm at it too... I'll just enjoy them in moderation and not every day... lol

Nice thing about candy is it lasts a long time. Maybe you can ration them? Make them rewards every couple of days for consistent workouts or diet control?


Yeah, I decided that I'd split one with my brother every couple of days... that way the most I'm eating is 1/2 a bar at a time and since he's been watching what he eats too that will help him as well... he's not dieting or anything but he's trying to eat better with me. I want to go skydiving and they have a weight limit of 220... at the end of this bet I'm going to be 200... he wants to go too so he knows what he has to do.

One thing I've noticed is that I'm not a morning person. Im sluggish for an hour or two before going to work. So planning workouts in the morning is just too risky. I'm doing cerebral stuff in the morning like studying and then putting the workouts at night. The risk here is that I'm exhausted after work... but leaving my yoga mat and workout gear out helps motivate me to just do it. On weekends I want to run by the river but more often than not it happens after lunch. Are you guys morning or night people?

I wasn’t a morning person then years ago a friend challenged me to a gym challenge where I had to train at 7.30am. Ever since then I’ve found I’m far more likely to get it done if I force myself to do morning workouts


Definitely not a morning person... I mean if I wake up naturally without an alarm I'm awake and have energy (usually around 9am) but that is not the norm... I work 6 days a week and I usually don't end up falling asleep until 12:30-1 if I'm lucky. Sometimes it's more like 2-3 am... then my alarm goes off at 7:15. I usually end up averaging 5 hrs of sleep a night so I'm usually exhausted. Sundays are my one day where I don't have to set an alarm and they are glorious. I always look forward to Sundays because of that and make sure to put my phone on do not disturb. I have stayed to incorporate exercise after work as soon as I get home because if I sit on the couch my motivation to move disappears. Also if I can get the aerobics done before my brother gets home it's better than while my brother is in the living room on his computer/playing games.

Ended up ordering wings for the game. My brother and I invited my dad over for it. (Bro and I live together, dad and bro work together, so we're all already exposed to each other). Since I was doing the ordering,, I made sure to include some dry rubbed and cauliflower wings for me that will be lower calorie the I can enjoy guilt free while they eat thw sauced wings =)
